Nausea on shrooms

Hi there, I let my friend try shrooms the other day however it didn't go that well. She had absolutely gut wrenching nausea for 2 hours after taking them.
At first I thought it was come up nausea but it went on a good two hours. Apparently it happened only when she stood still so we ended up power walking around the local park unable to stop, as soon as we stopped she felt awful. She also said the water in the canal looked like the buildings in Inception and was folding over so it made her feel sick 🤣
It eventually wore off and she had a really good time but I'd rather not go through that again, I was bloody knackered.
Has anyone else experienced this and if so how do you get around it. She had a ginger tablet too

Hi, did you guys make tea or did you eat the shrooms? When I make tea I never have problems with nausea. When I eat dried shrooms I struggle with nausea from time to time however not the whole trip.

A little cannabis has always helped me, though I almost never get nausea.

I’ve never had nausea in almost 35 years, but I always drink tea. A couple of months back, as an experiment, decided to try a microdose; a 0.2g dried stalk which I ate. It got stuck in my teeth and throat, and took some serious chewing. I then had the worst nausea I’ve ever experienced for hours, and stomach cramps.
Tea every step of the way for me DJ Ed

Haha yeah we ate them. I've never had a problem so I assumed everyone would be the same. I'll drop the dose and make it in tea next time. Will also report back how it goes but it will be a while because I've run out and there's not many about in my spots this year

I don't get nausea. I usually eat them dry. I do however get a bout of waterfall about 1-2hours after ingestion.
Make a tea, it definitely helps.

When I ate some fresh mushrooms (beginner at the time), I had nausea sensations which would make me struggle mentally to go through it without throwing up. Not the best come up of course.
Now that I'm making tea out of dried grinded shrooms, no nausea at all, a quick and enjoyable come up !

Take the opportunity to let go of some old stuff your body doesn't need to hold onto any longer. Your mind will thank you for it.

Why are we nauseous? Shrooms are hard to digest. The stomache has a hard time. -> Tea. No shroom material - no nausea.
Why do we still feel naueous? The psilocin itself interacts with serotonin receptors in our entire body. Many of those receptors are in our gut, as they regulate our digestive system. The psilocin makes these receptors hallucinate. We feel nauseous.
-> Lemon Essential Oil:
Some of it's ingredients block those 5ht2 receptors in our gut that make us nauseous.
A few drops of lemon essential oil, taken right before dosing, will diminish a lot of the nausea caused by most psychedelics.

I still puke my guts out sometimes with tea, although it does help and seems to help other people more. Seems like the older I get the more often I feel nausea from mushrooms. Tamps don't seem to do so nor do Libs with me. I think there are a lot of contributing factors like types of soluble fibers, prebiotic sugars and fibers, as well as polysaccharides that may affect our liver or kidney or biliary function. Maybe not as simple as A+B=C. I've never let the nausea ruin a good time and while puking I go through a lot of good reflection and tend to be better for it in the end and able to go forward with a very focused and tuned mind. This has taken a lot of practice.
Things like ginger and lemon as well as certain types of good cannabis and turning off/unplugging electrical devices and unnatural light sources have helped. It is best to get to know your own biome and understand how your own personal body reacts to different things and circumstances. I like to eat a goodly amount compared to most and it can be a very rewarding experience to do so if done well.

The easiest way to reduce nausea is the heavily mentioned TEA route of administration.
I like to just drop a mint teabag underneath a coffee filter in my mug. Fill the filter with shrooms ground in coffee grinder, and pour almost boiling water over it. Steep for 10-15 minutes, remove filter, and enjoy 👍
Also, drinking tea will make it hit you quicker, and end sooner.

I make tea and never get nauseous per say, however I definitely can’t eat anything when I’m tripping. I hate the taste of them so the tea makes it easy and it hits me fast, sometimes sub 15 minutes since drinking it is when I can start feeling it. I just boil water and add crushed dried shrooms and boil for 10 mins, strain and drink then chase with lemonade
