It was one thing to have Covid kicking around.. but then BLM came in full force.... and tensions rose.. THEN to have the fires roll through like a steamwheel.....
Cortisol on high.
What have you all been doing to process/transmute/cope?
I normally store up sunshine/good vibes/outdoor time towards mid/end of summer, and that entire process was yanked from me, and Im pretty concerned going into fall/winter already near empty.
I work at an apothecary, (so have access to plenty of herbs) as well as have sensory deprivation float tanks at my home... But they seem to not be taking the edge of the intensity.

This forum is probably a lot quieter than you recall!
While I'm not in the belly of the beast, can imagine your predicament. I'd have bailed by now I think, but having your work tied there must be tough. Would you be able to leave for the time being? Just the negativity hanging in the air, it's exciting but it's anger and upset fueling the engine. Have you had any close calls in regards to safety?
As far as your question, I think you're better equipped than most- from what you've shared. Whatever your regimen is, can you up it? More meditation, floating sessions (not sure how often you can do that), take advantage of the medicinals at your fingertips. My two secret stress weapons are Eleuthero and Tulsi Holy Basil. Lots of exercise, preferably with a dog. Get cultivating if you aren't already.
Something that I have been coming to terms with, and I'm sure most are, if that This Too Shall Pass. It's trite but I look at what's happening in the world, and can't help but compartmentalize this into a season. Everything is! What do we do in the off season? Wait. And that brings me to my last suggestion which is radical acceptance.
I know interacting with people, even on here has been helpful for my sanity. These are isolating times, and taking the extra effort has been comforting. It is more important than ever that we stay connected. After all, the only way we will overcome this will be to unite against the common enemy- I refer to covid- as far as the protests, I have no idea..
Keep making your music and art, express yourself and hang in there!

"This Too Shall Pass." Indeed...... Trite, but true throughout.
Safety? hmmm not sure what level to quantify that. The shop I work at has been broke into twice now in past couple weeks. My car has been broke into/heroin shot up in/rummaged through multiple times in past couple weeks. We had all of our camping equip/back yard storage stole within past month.
but I've not had any guns in my face, or backed into a corner. its all just waking up to some new bad news every morning, and not having processed the BS from the day before.
"I know interacting with people, even on here has been helpful for my sanity. These are isolating times" Yeah I just went out to my first "gathering" since covid started. (like 10 people in big building). But it felt good indeed.
"Keep making your music and art, express yourself and hang in there!" This I 110% plan to do!!!
thanks for the response
