Habitat: Where does it grow? They were both growing in the same conditions in a NSW state Forrest in Australia with plenty of conifers around. They were growing straight out of the ground surrounded by plenty of debris, a little grass but the ground was quite mossy. Very moist conditions and had a decent rain not long ago. The mushrooms were found on more of a sloping hill and the maybe truffles on flatter surfaces
Most details can be seen in the pics mushroom characteristics
Bruising: Color that the mushroom bruises, if any. Seems on stems and around cap of mushroom

Nothing active or edible here.
Truffles are quite rare & grow underground. Pictures 1-2 are likely a Pisolithus sp.
The rest are not anything active & could possibly be poisonous. going by photo #7 i'm guessing maybe Galerina sp.

Pisolithus lacks the mycelial cords on the peridium.

Conocybe stems don't darken towards the base.
1) Rhizopogon 2) Galerina

I’m glad I always ask before even thinking of taking as they did turn a bluish colour after picking. Thanks heaps! I cut the false truffle open

Oh interesting, that looks like something more cool than Rhizopogon. Rhizopogon looks like styrofoam inside.
It might look cool to slice it with a very sharp razor blade.

Apioperdon maybe? I guess it’s no longer Morganella... Taxonomy makes me feel like I’m constantly living under a rock.

Hmm maybe it is Rhizopogon - I was expecting to see more texture in a cross section cut with a sharp knife. If you throw them do they bounce? Rhozopogon are filled with "foam", which makes them the bounciest mushrooms.
These are the sharpest blades available:
https://www.themodernman.co.uk/us/feather-hi-stainless-platinum-double-edge-razor-blades-10-blades.html
You snap them in half and only use them a few times before retiring them for other uses, and they'll cut mushrooms extremely well! I carry a few in my wallet so I always have them around.
