Twice as much substrate as spawn. 2:5 is fine. Being exact doesn't matter.
We use volumetric measurements for the most part so you won't really have much luck trying to get people to answer you in those terms.
Better of to do DIY and fail than do a kit. Maybe next time.

Honestly, I've never used weight to measure my spawn or my substrate, so I'm not sure. But I believe that following those teks should produce sub that comes out to more than 5 pounds
I mean, if you have a 650 gram brick of coir, and each brick holds 5 times its weight in water, then you have [650g + (650 x 5)] = 3900 grams of hydrated sub. Converting 3900 grams to pounds = roughly 8.5 pounds. Results may vary, but I think you should be good with one brick

Weight of dry ingredients + weight of water = total substrate weight. Final volume is going to depend on the ingredients. Shoot for excess if you're not sure, see how it turns out, then take notes to get it closer next time.

Where if you're alone, you know, you either come through it or you die, but in any case you avoid the fuss.'" - Terrence McKenna
