Best way to propagate

https://files.shroomery.org/files/20-39/091636203-20200923_222804.jpg] [/url] IF this shows as an image, the mycelium is growing across the water and has begun to fruit. If looking to clone, should it be dunked in an h202 solution to eliminate contagions and would blending it for LC be best?

within your SAB, set up some agar plates and attempt a clean tissue biospy on it by splitting it down the middle and taking a small tissue sample from within the stipe with your flame sterilized scalpel. xfer this tissue to agar immediately. take at least 5 samples. you can dunk it sterile water before hand to 'wash off' contams, if you want.
RR has a video on this in his 'let's grow mushrooms' series
edit: that thing is tiny and this will require some dexterity for sure, maybe let it grow a little large first.

Thanks Junk f00d, I'll do that. I do wonder, though, if there'd be any value in taking a section of the mycelium. This is the first time I've seen it grow across the surface of water, is it common?

No, and double no. Clean it up on agar first, water is ridden with bacteria. (unless that's growing in sterile conditions, what even is that?)

Thanks Forrester, cooking agar, as I hunt and peck out this reply. It's dakak beach strain sitting atop a clay pot, sitting in water. I was waiting for another flush, and found the brf cake had sent a "root" sort of tendril down to and across the very much non sterile water. I'm impressed with it's aggression.
