    #26951844 - 09/23/20 08:51 PM (3 years, 4 months ago)

Found a handful of these growing in a crack of a very rotten log. Can someone please help ID?

Habitat:
Where does it grow? woods
What does it grow on? wood - rotting log(believe its hardwood but cant be certain due to how degraded it is)

Gills:pinkish, not attached

Stem:
Length, diameter, color, texture, hollow/solid, thin/thick, etc.

Cap:
Diameter, color, texture, conical/spherical, convex/concave, etc.

Spore print color: in process - but so far looks a shade of pinkish brown

Bruising: none seen yet and it's been a few hours since specimen was collected

Thanks. You think it could be pluteus americanus? Active? If so....what would be best way to dose/consume?

I doubt it's an active pluteus, most likely Pluteus cervinus

Dang....they weren't the freshest when I plucked them. Was hoping there was no blue bruising bc they were older. Back on the hunt for actives I go! Bound and determined!

Get out of the woods and into the pastures. Panaeolus cyanescens come up by the hundreds this time of year in central/north central GA. Youre not gonna find much of anything in the woods here in GA unless you're up in the mountains.

Thanks for the suggestion! I have plenty of cow fields around me, just too scared of being shot 😂 I found a good bit in some tall grass at a park that have left a purplish print but no blue bruising.
