New to Gourmet. Pink Oysters look bad...?

New to the gourmet Side of things. I'm attempting my first pink oyster. I know my fruiting conditions for my first bag was horrible (just sitting on a table)! Next batch i will have a martha tent.

With that being said what would cause my pink Oysters to look so ugly? is it Humidity or FAE or....?
Also....my Lions mane is giving me issues also. It started fruiting on the top of the substrate in the bag...i removed that and cut 2 slits in the bag..and have sense gotten nothing out of them in 2 weeks. any ideas?
Thanks for the advice! I'm currently working on a martha tent and a Drum steam sterilizer to really ramp up a bit. I'm using Masters Mix for substrate and Oats for Spawning. Most inoculation samples are from agar I have done or some LC i have been trying my hand at.

I'm honestly not quite sure what happened to those pinks.
The lion's mane fruited where it always will. When you spawn LM you want to eliminate any and all airspace inside the bag it's in. You have to force it to fruit outside of the bag or it will fruit invitro every time. As far as a 2nd flush, try and keep it from drying out and it will usually do one, but it can take some time. Might be worth a try cold shocking it, it's a fall fruiter.

Definitely keep us posted...it looks like it's a crazy mess of pins still...curious how this will finish!!
Maybe lighten up on the missing tho? On a second look they appear really wet..and there seems to be a couple caps trying to open...certainly a lot of pins tho

I forgot to update this post! so the pink oysters..in their uncontrolled, sitting on the counter, grow area actually ended up correcting into a decent size flush. the whole flush cut of weighed 1.2 OZ.

I will take take the Lions Mane tips to heart on the next batch. I had a lot of top space in the bag by the filter that probably led to the wrong fruiting. i ended up junking my 2 bags of lions mane and im going to reattempt it with tighter substrate bags when my steam sterilizer is completed.

Not bad! That's actually a really decent sized cluster, although a little strangely formed
