Now that Fall is upon us what's your favorite Autumn/Fall artists & albums to listen to?
Grizzly Bear Fleet Foxes Bob Dylan Neil Young
Really anything with that indie/folk vibe to it.
I also get into Black Moth Super Rainbow... kinda creepy Halloween music.
First time I listened to the Grateful Dead was around this time of year. It really is summer music but they remind me of fall.
Send out some recommendations!

Lateralus by Tool definitely strikes a fall chord. You know because in the single "Lateralus" Maynard talks about "black and white are all I see in my infancy red then yellow came to be reaching out to me lets me see". Red and Yellow like the changing colors of the fall leaves.

Never really thought of TOOL as fall music and I never put those lyrics together like that.
I was suppose to see TOOL at Bonnaroo this year... I did however get to see them back in 2009.

Yeah that really sucked their 2020 Epic tour had to get canceled.
That's probably why I associated them with Fall music. Like a recently deceased cat I make poor associations with them.

I took a tab of acid a couple weeks ago and listened to that Massive Attack album with headphones. Doesn't remind me of autumn because of the heavy electronic production, which is not a bad thing. Overall awesome album!
Akron/Family is great psychedelic folk music. Their first & self titled album is great for headphones and tripping out to. I also seem to be the only person who loves their latest release Sub Versus. Underrated.

I can dig this thread
daytime song nighttime song
I pick Talk Talk's 1991 album Laughing Stock. It is a very unique album start to finish and i dont expect folks to like it but it's a perfect album for Fall in my opinion.
Akron/family is cool man... I havent heard their new stuff. I dont know much of their repertoire but what I've heard has been really cool. I do like that album with the volcano (I think) on the cover

In the Aeroplane Over the Sea by Neutral Milk Hotel, perfect time for it, sort of cozy melancholy
also any of the more country-flavored Grateful dead offerings, Tea for the Tillerman by Cat Stevens,
Rain Dogs by Tom Waits

Listening to Echo & the Bunnymen album right now. Never checked them out before. Saw them tagged as psychedelic & new wave. The album is pretty good so far!
