is this the way a Pan stem should blue?
    #2695084 - 05/18/04 07:56 AM (13 years, 1 month ago)

ok its not a Pan sub, sphinc,or antillarium.....found on a hay bail spores are black...
i am sure its a Pan of some kind. does the base of the stem look like the blue brusing you would see in active Pan subs?
after seeing gumby's first active thread it reminds me of the Pan microspora he mentions.
i am sorry i could not get better pics or find a fresher specimen but i will be collecting more of them real soon because i would like to know what this mystery Pan is.
but my main question is is that what i am looking for in the base of sub stems?
thanks to everyone everywhere.

Yes, that is the type of coloration you would be looking for. Its really tough to make a guess on what that is with the cap all dried and whatnot.

MESCALATO,

I'm not sure what type of Panaeolus (or copelandia) shroom that is in your pictures, but that is a real good picture showing how Pan's with reddish-stems bruise a delicate light blue color at the base of the stems mycelium.

Nice work.

Yep, that's what you're looking for. You've found some kind of active pans. Good job.
