My pleurotus 3015 1

I just wanna show my 3kg blocks (1kg pellets, 2kg water) grown with 20W light in a 2x2 ft growtent, with humidifier and PC fan for exhaust. Just temporary setup, I know, too low fresh air. Both flushes 550g. Very chewy stems but I ate it all with olive oil, garlic, onions and parsley. Still waiting for electrician to change 20A to 25A main breaker so I can run drum steriliser and put everything in grow chamber under the ground.

Second one, the beautiful one was grown in 70% RH because my dehum. died. First one probably one day too long in grow tent.

yea but they are cool looking. And if you cut the stems into smaller pieces for cooking that crunchy/chewiness imo goes away.

Those are pretty good size, nice! I never mind a bit of chewy-ness, it's good for ya

Different strain I would say. But more experienced oyster growers might say different...
I just notice some strains make lots of little mushrooms per cluster, some make fewer, bigger ones.

Supplement with soy hulls to get the most out of your blocks. 50/50 soy hull/fuel pellets by weight. If you do 5 lb block rather than 10 lb blocks you will get a little more weight. Use my tek to make sure you have 60% water content in your sub. You should have got 1 KG from each block I get real close to 100% BE (bio efficiency) from my 3015. But you have to understand I actually have the real Amycel 3015 Bought directly from Amycel, not a knock off or look alike.
Also, you harvested a little too late, see how the ends of the caps are wrinkly.

Every time I have grown this strain my fruits were similar to the block on the right. You could try a different strain (which I would anyways) or I would say supplement well and think about cutting more than one fruiting hole in attempt to get more fruits per block.

The above statement made me start thinking and you may be losing some potential buy not getting all the air out and not getting the bag down tight against your sub. You may have the mycelium growing up the bag on the inside. I always push out all the air and get my bag down tight against the sub. Then I flip the bag over and slice the bottom of the bag from corner to corner. Try not to lift the bag away from the sub when you slice.

I can't find soy hulls in my country. I can get wheat bran instead. 550g is first flush, so in two flushes I could get that 1 kg you are talking about.

This monster here: was from when my circulation dimmer broke and I decided to try cranking up my exhaust fan and not running the circulation fan on high. same with these other two pics : and
This pic was before the circulation fan dimmer(whatever its called for a fan) broke. And thus no extra stipe.
Dunno if these comparisons and my experiment help you in your understanding? but these are 3015 and the last pic shows the normal fruiting with enough circulation inside. I have seen someone successful without running a circulation fan inside. The farthest one looked the same as the closer one the day before, then the cap started to curl up to show its beautiful gills and ready to harvest before it shoots the spores. Just not sure(yet) what he was able to do to not need it.. maybe the size of his room is much bigger than what I was using.??

Your 1st flush will be bigger than your 2nd and 3rd flush. Each flush will get smaller.

My 3015s seemed to love straight straw, I haven't fruited on hardwood blocks yet but here's a straw cluster

It was a little over 2lbs and grown in horrible conditions. I've seen some of SHROOMSISAY01's clusters and he gets some frisbee sized perfect looking caps on supplemented HWFP.

Oysters typically do really, really well on straw. The main reason I think many got away from it is just the prep.
