Just curious what you're basing that on. Do you have a picture of what Laetiporus mycelium usually looks like? That would help.

just basing it on all the agars I've done. Never had one look like that but you're right, that mushroom could just be different.

^^^ I think you're right about it turning to color over time, other species do that as well.
I think your culture might be fine, I've never worked with Laetiporus but I've had some wild clones that were very wispy and irregular like that.

Im on t2 now so I will keep you posted. Its growing an bit like Lions mane another dead stump lover...... Even though that means nothing. It did have a glimpse of yellow last look.
Ive heard its hard to cultivate indoors but like my fruitless 6 months with wine caps im a trier. The ones(WC) outside are popping up and im sure there is a hedgehog nibbling on it as I killed all the slugs and they are being enjoyed by some creature...... Really tasty mushroom....

What's up Forrester? It's been a while man.
Edmunter, I'm sure you have gathered this by now but that mycelium looks typical based on most of the Laetiporus that I have grown out.

Hey nice to see someone familiar! Not a lot of the old regulars around anymore!
