I want one but they are expensive as hell, I'd probs be worth it though

Well my main motivation for buying one of these consoles, as crazy as it sounds, is because they're 4K blu-ray capable. I need one for my new TV. The fact that they're next gen consoles is just the icing on the cake. I'm a very casual gamer at best these days. But even the cheap stand-alone 4K blu-ray players start at like $250, with the higher level models approaching the cost of a PS5 or the new Xbox. So I may as well just get one of the consoles then and that gives me my 4K blu-ray player and I'll have a sweet ass PS5 or Xbox Series X at my disposal to boot.

yes. they can go for a few grand if you buy them prebuilt and the top of the line, which you don't need for 99% of video games.

The PC you linked is more expensive and less powerful than the Ps5 and only has a quarter of the SSD size. It's also 250 bucks more.
I mean common dude.... really? I thought you were a smart PC guy.

I'm not arguing that consoles are superior but like I said I'm not a big gamer to begin with and a gaming PC is not going to help me with my need for a 4K blu-ray player for my OLED that I just bought
For my personal situation the PS5 or the Xbox Series X is my best option(s)

A high end graphics card costs hundreds of dollars, the latest cards can be upwards of $1500.
High end PC gaming is expensive and anyone who think it's "cheaper than console" is fooling themselves.
Is it superior? Sure, but you pay for the quality. There's no doubt about that.

xbox has seemless transitioning from games to streaming to web browsing to you name it. playstation does not. you have a lot of dumb menus to navigate and it has considerable amounts of loading time when switching between entertainment.

Neither. Best way to go is to get a gaming PC and a Switch. Or better yet get a Switch Pro when they come out next year.
Consoles are a waste of money, they break after a couple of years, and they can't be upgraded. There is almost no advantage to getting a console except for the Switch.
For 4K video you can just download can't you? Physical discs are a thing of the past. Digital is where it's at! For games I buy the physical game on Switch for resale value. For 4K I download.
My favorite 4K videos are of people walking around with a 4K camera strapped to them. It sounds dumb and boring, but is actually pretty interesting. It's like visiting another country without leaving your house. I like the ones where they walk in the rain for falling asleep.
