Print - agar - oats
Old B+ print that had been in drawer for about 5 years. Wasn’t sure it was going to germinate but it sure enough did. I spawned to bulk using this tek on 9-9 and all 6 boxes look about the same and looks like they will be ready to harvest tomorrow or day after. Pleasant surprise for sure.

Spawned these on 9-9, started pinning 9-18 and here’s where they’re at now. Several more in the dugout and they are a little slower than the bigger canopy but I sure do like this tek. Only thing I would and it may be my environment but they need liners. Lots of pins on the sides and bottoms. If I get around to making another set I’ll be using a liner.

I have these shoeboxes running. Question I was reading about just putting them straight to fruiting conditions without colonization. Anyone doing this?

Nice man, them are pretty.
Most people spawn shoeboxes and leave them in light, uncovered, lids latched, and wait for pins
If top is colonized / close to it, you want water droplets on the whole surface
Once you have a dense pinset you can increase air
Never can tell exactly what people mean by "fruiting conditions"

Shoeboxes basically go to fruiting conditions automatically unless you leave the liner pulled over the sides and under the lid like yours are. The plastic underneath the lid will seal the air off so I do that myself but only with PE when I want to consolidate it before fruiting.
Personally I would trim the liners down now and just leave them with the lids on.

Ok I was reading one of BODs teks and I saw he puts the plastic bag on top. So I try it. That kit is PE. The other 5 are AA+.I was thinking of just taking the lids off and putting the bag. They look like this.

The bag on top isn’t connected to the liner though. It’s instead of the lid and the bag has holes in it. Either way works fine though.

Exactly I just stretch the bag over the box and poke holes in it. My thoughts were to keep the white lid on til full colonization or just throw the bag on since the beginning and let it ride.

I set my bags up with monotub principles in mind. I.e. holes on bottom of bag with micropore + holes with no micropore on top of bag.
I don't know if the air exchange would work the same as a monotub in a shoebox or not though but it seems to work fine for me!

B+ mss, just over two weeks from spawning. Slow and steady. I admit I've micro'd a couple just for tits and pickles. 😆 It's going to be fun learning to harvest and picking which ones to clone.

have some malabar shoe boxes that look exactly like that. pretty poor yield, a bunch of small mutated blobs. thinking its gotta be genetics... kind of disappointing. I never have great luck w/ malabar, but they end up being very strong in my experience

I haven’t tried Malabar myself yet but when I ran it it did pretty well but there was a lot of mutation type stuff.
This is a shoebox I totally forgot about so it sat in a corner at the bottom of a stack of shoeboxes the whole time.
It came out way more normal with better conditions but still some mutants.
