 PS5 or Xbox Series X?

Both drop in like the second week of November. Both are $500.
Anybody here getting one as soon as they come out?
I really had no plans of getting one for a while, but I was looking for a 4K blu-ray player since I just purchased an OLED TV and the 4K blu-ray players by themselves aren't exactly cheap either so I thought to myself I may as well just buy one of these consoles...because they're both 4K blu-ray capable and on top of that I'll already have one of these consoles and won't have to get one later. Two birds, one stone I guess.
So which one is the better purchase?

Dam with a baller Oled tv, both I imagine either or would be epically wild. I cant invest in that for a few years just cuz I got a tv not too long ago.
But to answer the question, obviously the ps5 is better just because

I've been eyeing one for a while since I was mesmerized by one at the store that was on display. Those deep, rich & vivid colors...just blew my mind. And I figure I watch my fair share of shows & movies, and I put a premium on picture quality so I may as well treat myself. Took me a couple years to finally pull the trigger but I finally did it 
I literally just made the purchase yesterday and it doesn't arrive until Thursday

I saw a headline where a ton of Xbox preorders were taken today and supposedly a bunch of "mistakes" were made...whatever that means exactly
Fortunately they still got 6 weeks to correct whatever mistakes these were

PlayStation always. They have great PlayStation Plus perks for good free games. Really it comes down to exclusivity of games. PS has God of war, spider man, bloodbourne,uncharted, the last f us, horizon zero dawn and more. There was recently a big deal where Microsoft got Bethesda and zenimax. However due to what would be the public outrage and losses sales they explicitly said that most games will be cross platform. Past that the biggest Xbox exclusives are gears of war and Halo both of which have tapered off in recent years

I did a little research tonight and supposedly the edge goes to the Xbox. On paper anyway.

Yeah the Xbox one has a slight edge on paperwork they first came out and it turned out to be negligible at best

On paper yes the xbox is slightly better overall. But Id rather have great gameplay over 5% better graphics.
Both are large and the ps5 is pretty huge particularly. Means nothing to me. But heres reference compared to a 32".

Playstation exclusives are night and day better than xbox and the vast majority of xbox games can be played on the PC.
I'll be playing demon souls on the Ps5 on release

I’ve always gone with Xbox and I am likely to again. I feel more open minded to switching this time though. But I need to know what games are likely going to be on it. I want the battlefield 3 revision and battlefield 6 when it comes out. Those may be on PlayStation so I’d consider switching. Went to game stop today to preorder, but they were out of preorders by 9 am. They were allocated only ten.

Show me a $400 computer that can run games as good as a PS5 and I'll believe it. They are losing money on the consoles.
PC outperforms consoles if you pay way more, sure. But really, if it's so cheap to get a solid PC, by all means, link me a $400 PC because I need a new one.

My gf will be getting a ps5, which is cool for me.
I personally, probably wouldn’t even have access to a gaming console if it weren’t for her, I usually just prefer computers
I do like having the ps4 and from what I hear the ps5 is supposed to be wizard
To me, Xbox has always seemed a bit off
ps5 going to be backwards compatible w ps4 games which is a win
