I think coir too dry, not enough field capacity

So I mixed some spawn into one brick of coir and then sprinkled some coir on top to case it. I had suspicions coir wasn't property hydrated, but went ahead anyway. Looking at it now it indeed looks drier than I'd like. Can I just mist the shit out of top layer? Or lightly mist? Or no mist?

I am not good at determining moisture from pics, but if you say it wasn't at field capacity to start with, then I would mist the shit outta the top layer.

Someone here does it this way purposefully (prep coir slightly dry, heavy mist top layer), although they do it with shoeboxes.  But apparently it does wonders to reduce side and bottom pins.

That does look real dry. Give it a heavy mist and check the next day

Looks like you spawned that tub very recently, myc is barely starting to leap off. I'd go ahead, put it all in a bucket, mist it good and mix until properly hydrated, then back she goes to the tub.
