I was wondering if anybody would have a print of these to share? Would love to do a side-by-side comparison in a mono and my automated martha.
From the last posts it seems to me they might need a lot more fresh air than regular cubes, and a substrate on the dry side?

One of my last subs dried out really bad so I dumped some water on it and threw it into an empty sweaterbox a few weeks ago.
Totally forgot about it and had these waiting for me.

Pretty sure it said 36 days yeah. I was chatting with Zifo and he said the postal service is whacked over there right now due to Covid. Shipping was damned expensive for that speed!
I considered getting the Natal Super Strength And the Natalensis as well but in the end I’m More interested in the Natalensis... and the Pan Cyan Natal (Blue Meanie) is supposed to be super sized so I ordered that instead.
I’m interested to compare the Natalensis to what I have because what I have does not seem like a cube to me...

Almost ready for the hwfp experiment, I am tempted to g2g it though it looks pretty nice. And the smallest transfer ever. Took a couple days just to see myc on it. Hoping it thins out the growth.

Aka
Do you think it’s possible that in this thread there are folks who have Ps. Cubensis var. Natal super strength and others who have Ps. Natalensis?
I have not searched through carefully looking for more “cube like” fruits and more “non cube like” fruits...

Some in here are absolutely growing a cube variety. I think its poor planning on the vendors part to have 3 locale named straing/varieties, but theyre definitely distinct from what I've seen. Maybe the vendor is onto something, but it also seems hit or miss considering only a few people here have ordered from them. Whatever I got from zifozonke in a trade last year is absolutely not cubensis, but people ordering from people associated with him are buying cube var natal. Idk, but what im focused on is the tall, skinny, small caps, weird gills, no partial veil, slight green staining, and mad potency.

Here are not all, but some of the most detailed pictures posted so far in this thread. I ordered them in a ways such that they start with the identified Ps.cubensis NSS and the most cubelike ones, and they end with the least cubelike ones and the identified Ps.natalensis. Somewhere between OneOfUs and Crackatoa the strange gill attachement shows up, all the ones before seem more cubelike (to me at least), while the latter ones seem quite different. Hope to join the party as soon as my print arrives

Thanks for that i think that'll be a helpful reference guide from here on out when describing which variety someone may have

My Natalensis half pints finished consolidating and i’m amazed to see what the mycelium has done it’s almost unbelievable. The mycelium that had climbed the jar all the way to the lid got so thick that it literally looks like it has a nutritious mat underneath it that has grown with it all the way to the lid. It almost looks like the myc is sitting on a 1/16 inch layer of agar. I ended up eating a piece of this substance as it reminded me of a scoby and smelled delicious. The 4 half pints of natalensis on rye were spawned to coir in a shoebox. I took some wedges from a very “ropey” looking rhizo sector of natalensis multispore and put it in some quarts of rye so I can do some experimenting and see what I can find. THIS is the ropey section that I transferred to end up with those wedges I dropped to grain I’ll keep you guys updated with pictures as things progress.

Damn good work sporecap.
Yeah I do think there’s two separate things being grown in here. That would explain why some people have no overlay and then some always have it. Plus the ones I have very rarely look cube like, the one cluster in my pics sporecap posted is the closest they’ve come but usually they’re super long and rubbery with real small caps that don’t open much.
And still the weirdest thing to me is that every grow I’ve done the myc has eaten through the liner. It’s just too much of a coincidence that it’s never happened before but I’m like 7 for 7 with natalensis doing it.
Also i seem to get the huge majority of my pins on the bottom or way down the side of my subs. It definitely could be from conditions sucking cuz of summer/ac but I find it odd.

I think natalensis have weird pinning stages. I used to get alot of bottom pins but switching to just 1qt unmodded shoeboxes, with the lid snapped on until full colonization, then on but still unsnapped. I water daily with 20ml of water from a needle without the syringe, and just simulate a very light drizzle of rain. Once pinning starts i go down to 10ml and try to get it all under the sub but that doesn't usually work out with how this myc behaves. Those white topped sterilite boxes provide enough fae even snapped. Before I started doing it this way with the shoebox I would get crazy overlay and it would cause only bottom and side pins.
Basically low water and lots of air is whats worked for me. Ive never let my shoeboxes get condensation on the sides, but its not like thats what I try to do. I just use really dry coir and water as needed, because I would prefer that for all my tubs over too wet coir.

Already been posted here, the paper isn't peer reviewed or credible. Just states properties of psilocybin.

I live in Natal so thought it fitting I join the confusion. Running these NSS in a sgfc on hpoo/verm, I seem to be getting the same weird overlay as some of you.

This is a T3 from a dirty ass spore syringe from, I would assume the same local vender a lot of you have received the nss spores from. This is my first run with these in a sgfc, which is looking way more promising than the mono and shoebox I’ve previously tried. Actually can see a few pins 5 days after putting them in fruiting conditions

That overlays not bad, how long did it colonize before you put it in fruiting??
I just finally spawned a tiny grow with a half pint of wbs into coir/hwfp. Pretty high spawn content which so far hasn’t done well for me but I also let the jar sit a few days past 100% and saw no crazy rhizo fans on the glass which is a first.
The longer I mess with natalensis the more weird stuff comes up. Right now I’ve got two t3 plates of the same clone, taken from the same t2 plate. One has grown to the edge of the plate and seems to have stopped while the other is well onto the lid ceiling and starting to poke myc through the cling wrap on the sides.
