Wow that’s just about the most simplistic take I’ve ever seen on complex, long term problems.

Local politics almost certainly mean more to the average person. For example, I voted for the redrawing of the line striping on my street. A seemingly innocuous change, but in reality it greatly narrowed the driving lanes, created distinct parking lanes, and added bike lanes. Big whoop, right? Not really. Now the car traffic drives significantly slower in my neighborhood, parked cars are getting hit less, we see more bicycle traffic in the neighbor and park space, and there has been a small decrease in crime too (more eyes on the street and less vehicular stuff). Also, since there are a lot kids in the neighborhood, it's nice peace of mind to have the traffic going slower. Such a small change got pretty nice results, but only like 30 people showed up to vote for this. This is out of like 1500 in my neighborhood.
What could Donald Trump have done to help the nation or the riots? He could have denounced some of the police violence. That would have been cool. Perhaps he could have helped amplify the voice of those trying to be heard instead of arresting them in unmarked vehicles. Nice!
Trump is an undeniable dotard, but there are plenty of things he can't control. Hurricanes certainly being one of them. That said, he could stop being science denying numbskull and actually help this country progress instead of playing protectionist and pocket liner.

I believe the people who don’t like trump are way more vocal. I do believe he will win the election from all the conversations I’ve had. TDS is real and it’s out in force. The main difference between if trump wins vs Biden wins is if Biden wins I won’t be crying about everything he does for the next four years! Hopefully we don’t lose our freedoms. I don’t think we will though, probably just get into another war over oil.
And for the record, I think nifflas take on those issues is pretty reasonable, he’s pointing out that all of the things that are singled out as trumps fault by the people who don’t like him are very common things that have taken place throughout history, therefore it’s totally reasonable to assume that a lot of these issues would have arisen anyways. Blaming trump for the way things transpire is great if it makes you feel better, but most people realize that things like the corona virus didn’t kill people because trumps a murderer, it killed people because of the lack of overall health of the country and a huge portion of it is just the way it is covered and propagandized.
I’m so sick of being quiet because it’s socially acceptable to slander people for their views just because of this war being waged against trump. He won for a reason.

Trumps mismanagement of the pandemic has had tragic results for 10s of thousands of Americans. His inability to promote and model public health measures like masks has resulted in many unnecessary deaths. He is primarily responsible for over 1,000 people dying daily for the past 200 days. There was no reason why we couldn’t have had the same experience as other western nations.

I seriously doubt the complainers are more vocal, just take a look at the number of Trump signs on lawns.

I agree, Chris. Personally I'm infinitely more interested in my local government and what's going on there than anything that is happening on a federal level.

I don’t think I’ve seen a trump sign this year, except for when I’ve gone for road trips in rural areas.
I was pretty surprised by that phone conversation I overheard last night. You don’t come across many Trump supporters in DC. He only got 4% of the vote.
But yeah, trump supporters in most of this country are not shy about their support. The only places where trump supporters might be hiding in silence until Election Day are liberal areas where their votes won’t matter anyways.

Trump can be blamed for a lot of things -- being the most divisive President of my lifetime to date and a raging narcissist to name a couple off the top of my head, but that dude really blamed him for costing him some of his grow season...lmao
That is epic

If DC is indicative of the beliefs of the rest of the country than I would agree. You don’t see anything because you’re in the heart of the cities that have voted blue for almost a century prolly. I’m not that well read but come on man everybody knows in politics there’s certain areas where you can almost predict the candidate they will support

In Pittsburgh city Trump signs are very rare. Biden signs are growing exponentially at the moment. Keep in mind, Pittsburgh constitutes the second most populous county in PA.
However, if you go five miles outside of the city it's Trump central, and leave the county, well then it's a Trump paradise. The population density outside the county however is really low. There's a sign by my father's house that is legit a homemade billboard for Trump. It's like 24' by 8' and has three sides.
I will never understand how somebody can be a conscience and objective voter when you are committed enough to buy $400 worth of plywood and 4'x4's to make a billboard on your lawn. They probably can't be, but that's the type of voter Trump pulls.

I noticed when I drive through canyon city and out towards kremling that all the rural house have a lot of trump signs. There was a place that made the word trump out of white painted rocks in 20-30 foot letters so everyone could see it from the highway. One field had about 50 trump signs or more stuck in it. Why is it rural areas lean more towards trump? I think maybe cities are more liberal and they move out there so they can be around other people who hate liberalism, gays, and all that jazz and feel like they can be protected and "protect the children from all the gays and liberalism" etc....I witnessed it for 4.5 years out in SE OK while I was in nursing school. It's sickening and sad.

My area is predominately trump supporters. Well obviously it’s still almost split b it there is so many signs for trump. It’s so weird how all of the neighborhoods have a theme. One will be for Biden. One will be for trump. And they’re across the street LOL. Not too many neighborhoods have all mixed signs, usually at that point they just don’t put anything up it seems like. The neighborhood my parents live in doesn’t have one sign for anybody up. And yeah Chris you’re exactly right. Love it or hate it Trump pulls a lot of people that wouldn’t have voted otherwise, for the same reason you said, they are extremely passionate in support of him.

Old people love Trump, dude. Especially, old white people. Your parent's aren't even remotely out of the norm, as old white people have voted conservative since before the slaves were free'd.

Yeah I’ve seen a couple barns with an entire side turned into a trump sign.

it's not just old people. It's also the kids that those people have raised, imprinted their ideals on, and forced them to be brainwashed from the time they were born.

I think is hilarious that anybody who disagrees with a few people here is brainwashed. People disagree all t he time, and calling someone “brainwashed” in a serious context just implies to me that you are so lazy you don’t even try to understand why someone might disagree with you.

To be fair, a lot of Trump supporters would literally toss his salad if he asked.
It's like meeting a vegan for the first time, it's really obnoxious, and you don't care if they don't eat meat, but you sure are going to hear about it.
