Azure bed please help
    #26946106 - 09/20/20 12:13 PM (3 years, 4 months ago)

I inoculated an Azure bed last spring at a 1:10 ratio. Last fall,  no fruits (as per many here know). But this year,  colonization looks great, but I NEED TO MOVE MY PATCH. We had a sweltering summer and i had it covered until last week. Temps have dropped 20 degrees here in ohio to 60s in the day.  I took the cover off this weekend.Colonization looks great.  Question: CAN I DIG UP THIS PATCH (ABOUT 1 MONTH FROM FRUITING TEMPS (50F)) AND STILL GET GOOD FRUITS THIS YEAR? Please answer if you have hands on insight. Thank you!

Yes you can. Dig it up and try to keep as intact as possible.
Fruiting is more like 2 months away for you.

ya i had a patch fruit from pf cakes onto wood chips within a month or so. maybe give half some fresh chips too. obv best just to leave it. lots of mushrooms like being disturbed to trigger fruit so not nessasarily a myc thing. if can keep shovel full at least nicely intact shouldnt be an issue.

if have an option to leave it at all that obviously is the best. esp since its about that time they will pin. then move in the spring or after it fruits.
