Jail broken firestick

Any of y'all got one?
I just got one from a coworker. Bought the firestick and then another $50 to get it jail broken. So 100 total. I think it may be fairly easy doing it yourself but I have no idea how or even looked into it so just paid the 50.
From what I can tell it has most of the cable channels (the movie channels too like HBO) but I mainly got it for the live sports -- for instance you can get every NFL game on it and even pay per view events like boxing and MMA (without having to pay for it).
All you need is a solid internet connection.
I'm guessing a decent share of you probably already have something similar (I've seen a lot of posters around here talking about how they cut the cord/cable a long time ago and just stream to their computers/laptops or whatever).
Anyway it seems to be a pretty awesome option for those who aren't looking to pay monthly bills for TV.
Anybody here got a jail broken firestick or something similar?

@asante- It’s an amazon fire stick that people use to stream entertainment. But someone “hacks it” and all entertainment options are then free, essentially.

The more common term is "side loading" or "rooting" as "jail breaking" is a generally used term for breaking iOS to allow the side loading of apps on it. Semantics... Root is the Android equivalent of jail breaking. Both processes allow for side loading, though you don't necessarily need to jail break to side load.
I certainly think the firestick is a decent device, especially if you side lode Kodi, or any of the various other apps that are available these days. I'd recommend adding a network wide VPN if you run Kodi though.
I run Apple TV's in my home, but I also have Plex with Sonarr and Radarr as well as live TV. 2/2, it kicks ass. I don't miss cable one bit. The nice thing about Plex live tv is I can watch my local channels wherever I am. My father in law who lives out of region loves to watch the local sports games via my Plex.
-------------------- Enjoy the process of your search without succumbing to the pressure of the result. A Dorito is pizza, change my mind. Bank and Union with The Shroomery at the Zuul on The internet - now with %'s and things I’m sorry it had to be me.
