Tripping and old age 2

Hi fellow shroomies,
mushrooms have been part of my life since a long time. It doesn't feel like I will ever reach a point that I feel I shouldn't take them anymore. How will tripping be like when I'm 70 or 80 years old?
Are there any members of the older generation here that still enjoy the occasional journey into inner space? And if so has the quality of the experience changed?

I use them on and off, I have them laying around dehydrated in storage at all times, I can use them whenever I feel like consuming some. It is a crop I keep laying in storage dehydrated for personal use.
Even when I'm old as fuck I will still more than likely be hoarding dehydrated psilocybin mushrooms in storage and consuming them when I feel up for a psilocybin trip.

I’m now in my 50s, with no signs of slowing down yet or any loss of interest. I think I’ll be taking mushrooms until I die.
But yes, the experience has changed significantly since those early ignorance filled days. And I can go deeper these days on 3.5g than I used to go on 7g and above.
And I find the afterglow can last for weeks, as opposed to when I was younger and I would wake up feeling like shit!
I don’t think I’ll ever find all the answers I’ve been searching for all my life, and the enjoyment is still very much there, and they are natural, organic and good for your brain: why would I ever want to stop?

Whhhhaaaaattttt!!!! 70?!
I've noticed as I get older the psychs have evolved as I've matured. For one, I feel no need to go above level 2ish doses of any of the mushrooms i consume. I enjoy the experience more, i don't just get fucked up. I also find it easier to "let go" and good or bad just go with it. I know for a fact ill be tripping until the day after I die.

I'll be sixty in a few months. I tripped 8 out of the past 9 days. I'm tripping right now.
I don't do heroic amounts, mostly under 2 grams dried, I like to be able to still work and function. Sometimes I take a half gram to a gram.
I feel like gigantic dose ego-death face-melting doses are a young person's game.
Plus, massive doses spike your blood pressure, which is better tolerated by young adults than by older people.
But I like eating smaller amounts now, and don't see why I'd ever stop.
I have never tripped this many days in a row, but I just grew my first flush, and I've never had enough shrooms or other psychedelics to trip many days in a row.
I'm not having as much tolerance as I thought I would.
I'm ready to go back to doing it less frequently, but I've had a fun time recently.

I'm glad to see you guys still enjoy the mushrooms and thank you for your input. I am 36 and have slowed down a bit too. I take lower doses once a month. However if set and setting would be perfect I would love to go deeper again.

Though I tripped as much as I could in my twenties (foraging), I only got started seriously in my 30's (growing). And this has continued, though with some long breaks, for the last 30 years.
I don't see age being any kind of factor so long as you stay fit.

55yo here and still like to trip. I haven't changed much in the amount/dose of LSD or mushrooms. Just did 2.5G of mushrooms this weekend with the hubby. He's 52.

Eh... I'm in my early 30s now. Have done quite a bit of tripping in my time; with quite a few horrifically painful/devastating bad trips that ive since had notched into my belt. And I've always felt that:
"Tripping hard is kinda like doing your taxes... Mentally that is, meaning: The more that you've expirenced here, the more you have to deal with."
And so in my later years... I try to avoid work. If you catch my drift. Have fun, send postcards!! Lol.

Hi, that's interesting as for me it's a bit of the opposite. When I trip it feels like I (am forced to) work through certain issues that I deal with by that time. It can be rough sometimes, but the next day I feel reborn in a way. Once I've dealt with my issues a solved I get to enjoy the beautyful side of the experience.

My dear friend is 50 and a doctor. I cant prove it yet but I really think it has made him smarter. It has been proven to make a person more mindful. With higher ages follow the triple A rule, Always always always; have a sitter, a plan, set and setting, mind your blood pressure. Double A rule, Almost always, take it in nature (Hofmann).
A popular physician lecturer has recently come forward publicly as a psychonaught and states it makes him a better doctor. More open minded, nonjudgmental and compassionate. What kind of doctor would you want to see?
Redgreenvines and Nektar61S ... hats off to the gray haired Psilonaughts.
About safety--see the John Hopkins study on terminally ill getting psilocybin for existential dreed. It seems clear it is safe at all ages.

I have never taken more than 3 hits of LSD, and only twice at that. I have never done a high dose trip and I don't plan to. I get what I need off of 1-2. I have only done 5 grams of mushrooms twice in my life too. I don't feel the need to push tripping to the extremes.
