SMOKE * 1
    #26943402 - 09/19/20 12:44 AM (3 years, 4 months ago)

I LOVE IT.
Theres nothing better.

I could be having the bleakest of days, surrounded by this synthetic plastic landscape, even if I smell someone smoking tobacco, it always brings me back to
CENTER

Especially around this time of year, when the weather starts to cool. I always smell when someone lights up a barbeque or a firepit, or fireplace, I'll smell it on the road. It calms me like no other.
Someone burning leaves in a ditch, or smoking a brisket...
Something that reminds me that life is LIFE, its Finite, its burning and changing in unimaginable ways.

I'll even catch whiffs occasionally if someone is smoking cannabis in the car in front of me.:smirk:

I can't get enough!
Theres something absolutely human about it, something primitive. I love being around my family who smokes cigarettes or joints. I just want to sit there and give them my undivided attention.
Smoke is holy.
It's almost indescribable to me. I always REMEMBER, whatever that should mean...

Nothing else creates it, except for Pancha Mama herself.

Smell the smoke
Even if it comes from some silly little incense burner

i personally hate it myself. probably because i'm so sensitive to it - when i lived in southern cali and there were wildfires burning close enough that the hills juuuuust in sight (like 30 miles maybe? 40?) were glowing red at the tops from the embers, the smoke was bad enough that i was flat out on my back coughing and feverish for almost a week with what felt like the worst case of the flu in my life. apparently i'm the only one in my family so sensitive to smoke though - no one else was so affected.

never liked the smell of most smoke smells either, though a faint smell of some incense can be pleasant - and i do mean faint. even then i can only enjoy it for so long before it goes from pleasant to "ok this is enough i'd like some fresh air now."

guess if smoke is primitive, i must be something absolutely primal to not like it at all.

Then, methought, the air grew denser, perfumed from an unseen censer
Swung by Seraphim whose foot-falls tinkled on the tufted floor.

Ah, distinctly I remember it was in the bleak December;
And each separate dying ember wrought its ghost upon the floor.
