Monotub holes only near the top?

For the sake of concealment, I want to drill 1/4" holes just below the monotub lid for FAE, including the usual substrate-level holes on the long sides. Why? With the lid on this makes it look like a normal tub when micropore tapes are added.
Would this work similar to unmodded tubs that only have openings for FAE at the top? Does anyone else do this? Is there a reason why I shouldn't do this?

If you are going to drill 1/4 in holes you might as well do pasty's dialed in monotub. I can't understand the concealment aspect as you will be growing mushrooms in it. Might as well make it work correctly?

Yes, I am doing it pasty-style but I want the holes spread in a long line, and as I said, all the way at the top. This is the same concept as unmodified tubs? Heat rises to those holes and that displacement of warm air sucks back in colder air. Why wouldn't it work?
Also, I should clarify I meant concealment in terms of reusing the tubs. They look much more presentable without giant gaping holes. One thing I learned living outside of US is how little we give a shit about plastic waste. I'm also thinking of a way to re-use liners as I'm having side-pinning troubles without one. Maybe Eat's no-cut liner tek would work.

Since youre talking about drilling holes, that would constitute modification so its the exact opposite concept as unmodified.

Well obviously in that regard, thanks captain. If you read my comment further I am comparing how it takes in FAE.
Jeez do people not experiment anymore? Why am I being attacked for deviating a lil bit. Don't get me wrong, teks are valuable and a good way to start, but most teks dont account for shit like other people's varied environment /rant

Yeah, I got that.

Who attacked you?
Maybe try not being so sensitive?
Ppl still experiment but experiments are usually best just being conducted and then the results posted vs waiting for positive affirmation from the community in order to continue.
Please dont interpret this post as an attack. I assure you, it isn't.
If you were really being "attacked" you'd know it.
We're excited to see your results.

Well the idea of the holes being at different heights is directly correlating to the idea of FAE.
Them being all in one spot won't make a good current. Having ones lower pulling in air then it rises out of the top holes.
All the holes the same height doesn't get the air throughout the tub in a efficient manner. By all means though you should try whatever you want
This is a good simplistic explanation of how FAE works.
