quitting nicotine, the easiest thing Ive ever done * 1
    #26942775 - 09/18/20 04:30 PM (3 years, 4 months ago)

quitting inhaling stuff into my lungs on the other hand is very hard to quit

Im on my third quit this year, I barly notice it

my first quit I got chantix from my doctor and cut my nicotine in half every bottle till I was vaping 0mg fluid, I vaped 0mg fluid for a few months before I smoked some cigars and got re-hooked

so I switched from smoking back to a 6mg vape, got some more chantix from my doctor and did it all over again, cutting my nic in half every bottle till I was vaping 0mg fluid

then I started bumming smokes off my mom and got re hooked to nicotine, so I switched back to a 6mg vape and started cutting my nicotine down by 1mg every bottle till Now, I am vaping a 0.5mg/ml fluid and not really getting a nic fix from it, I already have my next bottle mixed up at 0.2mg/ml, and after that im going to do 0mg, I dont expect any problems stepping down from the 0.5mg im currently at, like I said im not even currently getting a nic fix off of it

but im still addicted to vaping no nicotine fluid, I think its still giving me a dopamine hit even though its not giving me a nic hit

I read the famous Allen Carr stop smoking book once, and I dont like how it focuses 100% on nicotine addiction, I got some other sorta addiction going on with inhaling things, but I do agree when they say nicotine withdrawals are mild

Nicotine is weird. Ive gone through several cycles of continuous use and everytime i stopped i just woke up one day and it was gross to me and i stopped. But then later down the line, a year or two, i would start back up. Cant explain it

my doctors office has a program called Quit Cafe, Im thinking about showing up one time, but I think all they do is give you a few months worth of NRT and call it a day, dont think they would know what to do with me since im not even on nicotine

I used to smoke a lot of hookah and I liked cloves, but I quit nicotine before I was even 18, now I can’t even be around the stuff, like literally, I can’t be in a hookah lounge for 10 minutes without becoming very very nauseous.

I used to smoke weed every day after I graduated high school. It started with an occasional small joint in the morning and a few grams at night. A couple months later I was up to 4-8 blunts a day and that went on for a year or two. Stupidest, most expensive habit I’ve ever had. My tolerance was so high that I’d barely catch a buzz off of the first blunt of the day even if I twaxed it, each one after the first was lackluster and a waste of money.

I convinced myself that the weed was helping me but I did fine without joints and bowls. After going cold turkey on blunts though I felt like I was on the brink of a panic attack for a couple days straight. Had hardcore cravings for a couple weeks after that. I still want one every once and a while but I think it’s one of those things that I can’t really control myself around so I try not to entertain the idea

Nicotine is so easy to quit that you've done it three times this year.

I quit smoking weed after I get stoned until I’m sober.  Every day

I never found nicotine specifically or cigarettes in general to be addictive, at all really. For about 8 years I smoked em' occasionally but never fell into the daily habit/addiction.

I smoked em' mostly only in social settings/on the weekends when hanging out with friends/socializing. The only occasions I'd actually buy a pack of stoges was for festivals and when going camping, and occasionally sometimes for long road trips.

But when I'd get back home from the festival/camping and still had 1/2 a pack of stoges left, the pack would sit on my dresser for weeks with out me touching it or even thinking about them. When I'm just hanging out at home I have zero interest in and no desire to smoke a cigarette, the thought never passed through my mind. I definitely never experienced any "cravings" for a cigarette.

Over the past 2 years or so tho I've had zero interest in smoking a cigarette at all!...Even when I was high & rolling at a festival last year, someone offered me a stoge so I took it & lit it up, I got like 2 drags off of the thing before I put it out and tossed it into a garbage can. It tasted absolutely horrible.

I'll likely grow my own tobacco sometime in the next few years for an occasional smoke for special occasions....but cigarettes specifically are so damn disgusting. I don't even consider the stuff cigs are filled with to be "real tobacco", it's some fucked up processed brown material that has nicotine in it lol. I view cigarettes kinda like hot-dogs, sure there's some "meat" in it but it's pretty processed and far away from what it was originally.

I find myself in this same position with smoking.  I don't mind vaping instead of smoking, but I find myself chain vaping and then the battery doesn't last long at all at that rate....and it's not like I'm using cheapo Wish vape devices either.

Do you have this issue, and if you don't, what sort of device do you use?
