Why won’t this go rhizomorphic?
    #26942729 - 09/18/20 04:00 PM (3 years, 4 months ago)

Apologies for not posting in the Agar Envy thread, but I was just hoping that I could get people’s opinions, or expertise, as to why I cannot for the life of me seem to get this culture to turn even slightly rhizomorphic. (Variety is PE6)

Though I will say, when I opened the plate to drop to grain, the smell of fresh mushrooms about made me fall over it was that aromatic. I appreciate anyone taking the time to read and get back.

put less nutrients in your agar and it'll go rhizo. it doesn't have any benefit thou. it just looks cool. fluffy myc is happy myc too.

It looks healthy, that’s all that matters.

You can usually manipulate myc into rhizo or tomentose pretty easily it’s all the same stuff.

Even if you did get it rhizo on the plate it might just go back once it hits grain.
