Contamination growing afoot? Perhaps, yes, perhaps...
    #26942616 - 09/18/20 02:55 PM (3 years, 4 months ago)

I am looking for a
Someones contamination expertise! I got home today and only these two cakes had almost a perfect half like the pictures below. At first pin I had trouble with FAE and had mycellium sticking up like staticy hair. Solved that. Is it something like that or is this a mold growing that I should eradicate? Thank you in advanced lovely people!

1st pic in the yellow, thats gonna go green any minute. but its good to be able to ID trich mycelium before it sporulates. I'm sure you noticed its slightly different looking than the rest. You're eyes did you good today. You can hang on to the cake until it goes green just for your own learning benefit. But don't feel bad if you're inclined to just chuck it now.

Thank you sir! Where should I put it? In its own tupperware container, a mini SGFC? I'd like to see how it forms and grows. Is there any harm in keeping a moldy cake around? Obviously I don't want it near my good ones. Should I continue to mist it and let it grow wildly?
