I was 15. I got told by an older guy that mushrooms are awesome, so I decided to go on the hunt. Bought myself a little identification book at our local head shop and went to the cow fields with my friends. We found so many look alikes and we ate so many look alikes. Of course nothing happened. One day we found these little, tiny mushrooms with golden caps. Psilocybe Semilanceata. We still weren't aware that we finally found the right ones.
We ate the mushrooms in the evening on a hill in the middle of a forest. I remember us leaving the hill thinking 'man these weren't the right kind of mushrooms'. That's when it hit me. I am not sure how many grams but I took about 20 mushrooms. Not a high dose, but standing under the street lights, looking up seeing not just white light but all rainbow colours was new to me and quite exciting. It was a very good experience which prepared me for what to come. I found my second home.
Funny that back then I already lurked around on this forum but never created an account. Now 20 years later I finally did it. I signed up .

Reading all these stories Im so glad I grew up in the Netherlands
Me and my friends just went to the Smartshop downtown and got advice from the owner. He explained that, it being our first time and all, we should split two portions with 3 people and have a sober friend join us.
The box even had some info on handling a bad trip and explained the whole set and setting thing
Cant believe governments rather have people look for them in nature or get

I was a real youngin and I don't know the answer to these questions, interested to know if other people do though.
I was 20. It was acquired from one of the students at the technical school I was attending.
I got two small pieces of paper and went home. I dropped one of them and played the waiting game.
I remember it vivdly.
Long story short, I had a bad trip after I decided to put in the Wall. That’s a tripping nono.
It was very intense and the visuals were borderline halucinogenic.
I could still write a trip report on it, but I choose not to.
It was very insightful. It set my years of psychotropic anti-depressants back to square one.
Ive had to deal with the world with full-on ADD with no medical crutch since then.
It was one of the greatest things to ever happen to me. I had been experiencing the world in some kind of non-self-aware bubble, I was now fully self-aware. I had been given antidepressants at a very young age to mold my brain. The intent was to get it to devolop with my synapses firing in a certain direction instead of naturally. Kind of sinister when you think about it.
I had to learn how to function in society all over. I was literally reborn. At the time it sucked. My chronic depression and ADD came back with force. I hadn’t dealt with that shit since I was a juvinile.
I adapted. It’s what I do.
Sure, I remember my first trip very well.

I'm not sure there's anything I forget much about my first trip. I was 17-18, got a 1/4 from a family friend. I got home and ate the whole 1/4. Idk why. I was hungry probably.. hard labour. Hopped in the shower and I remember getting giggly and playing with the water. I got out and everything was moving and expanding. I remember the floor of my bathroom looking like water ripples, being really entranced by the way a water bottle looked/felt in my hand.
I was gonna leave to go hang out with my cousin and my sunglasses fell off my head, i went to pick them up and there were 3 pairs of the same sunglasses. I tried eating a muffin and almost died it was so dry. I left soon and had such a nice time looking at the leaves changing, the clouds in the sky. It was October. I got there and it was so funny the first thing he said to me is "Are you tripping?" Because apparently I was feeling the air as I was walking. things kept getting more colourful and breathing heavily. I left not long after because I was feeling weird.
Got back to my apartment and put on Are You Experienced? I laid down in bed and I kept drifting in and out of reality. I could not tell what was real and what wasn't. I remember feeling very strange about not feeling like I could close my eyes. It was like I could close my eyes at times and still see my environment in clarity. I remember this time monster, an infinite mass of mechanical tentacles and at the center of it was time itself. Listening to Are You Experienced?, specifically the one song. It seemed to go on forever. I could say a lot more about my experience but I'll end it here. It's some of the deepest I'll ever get.

I posted a video in that fibromyalgia thread. Check it out. It's a good one. Apparently the doctor claims he never did acid. I guess he's asked all the time.

I was 17, July of 2002 at a small local music fest. I ate between 3-4 hits of white unperf’d.......way too much really. I’ll never forget it; it was so magical, so novel yet still familiar. I experienced total ego loss.....I was that guy at the fest wandering around completely out of my gourd came across people years later that were there & remembered me. Said no one was a having a better time than me that night.

18 years old, I Took 3 hits of some random tabs I bought off my weed/pill dealers friend and my best friend Nick took 2. We were hanging out with our other friend Scott who didnt use drugs or anything and we spent the afternoon walking through a local park, hanging out by the beach, and skating around. It was perfect.
We went to Scott's parents house and we laid in the middle of the street, his mom was concerned haha. Perfect day

Dylan's MO. I don't particularly agree with a lot you say, and you troll too, so what comes around goes around.

This is a powerful phrase, whether you believe it or not, it has a way of working. Maybe you should refrain from this statement.
Otherwise, thanks for the well wishes and positive energy.

I have had one true bad trip in my life
Never been completely the same after
Tripping has also never gone back to that magic quality it had before that. Its like some mental uninhibitedness was killed that week

13 or 14. Me and my brother took a hit of LSD each and we went for a walk around the neighbourhood just before sunrise, sharing and comparing what we experienced as it was happening. It was nice but not as strong as I anticipated. Three weeks later I took three hits by myself and had a blast. I remember feeling like nothing but a pair of eyes aimlessly floating around the suburbs while witnessing the world around me liquefy and morph with unmistakable vividness & vibrancy.
I will however, never forget the first time I tripped on mushrooms it was the most intense experience I've ever had to date. I was about 15-16 at the time.

I'm pretty sure my first time tripping was shrooms at 15. I'd done a lot of DXM before then... I think? Fuck I'm not sure really. And I may have smoked salvia before that.. I can't remember which drugs I've done in what order.
This time that I believe was my first real psychedelic trip and not a dissociative or something, me and like 5 friends all ate an 8th of shrooms. I remember my friend thought the cops were in his front yard so we ran around the creek and woods for the come-up. I remember laying on this huge fallen over tree that went over the creek when I started really feeling it.
This one guy had sucked on the inside ink cartridge of a highlighter to make his mouth glow radioactive green in the black light. He started puking his brains out shortly after that and thought he was going to die.

That's about all I remember.
