I went to the property that is loaded with weilii and found one big crispy one. It wasn’t worth a photo. The cap was as big as my palm but it was definitely rotten and I am surprised it was still standing. Hopefully these rains will bring up some more for us. I want a big patch that’s more accessible.

This temperature change + rainfall + leaves starting to change gives me such an undeniable feeling that this month and the next will be absolutely full of fruits out there I'm already way past my limit on gourmet edibles for this year

Guys let's not neglect the other species for those who can find them. My best flushes of Panaeolus cyanescens were right after a hurricane. The temp drop and heavy rain will shock fruit alot of things.

Will keep my eyes peeled! Going to hit old construction site, abandoned about 3-4 years ago. Any other habitat suggestions. Haha, one day I will surprise all of you with a find of my own

Those last few look a couple weeks old. We should be seeing pins and a few full size ones right now, but I'm gonna wait another day or two for the ground to dry just a bit. The fruit will be bigger and easier to spot. Temps will stay cool and there should be good hunting for at least 7 days.

I wasn't sure since they were still caramel colored. And idk man I didn't see any activity at some of my patches yet. I think they're still recouping after having blown their load a couple weeks ago.

It takes a good week or so to see them popping back up. They need time to absorb more water and push up more fruits after the last big flush. As long as it doesn’t get real dry again they should come up in the next few days
