Shrooms help fix your eating habits/disorder?

When I was a child I ate normally and was a healthy size up until I was about 14 years old and then developed an eating disorder, I only ate to stop myself from dying... Food gave me no joy, I would drink more liquids to clench the hunger instead of eating I did this often.
I had high hopes for the medicinal mushrooms, my first bunch of trips were all very good and enjoyable it helped alot with depression and anxiety. It wasn't until my first 'bad' trip where I spent over an hour inside a tent rolling around and struggling to breath, I had extreme fear nothing comes close to that being the most scared I've ever felt. All negative thoughts about myself and my health you know.
Since then I've subliminally been eating more, been eating about 3x what I would normally eat per day for a few months now... I actually care about making myself healthy and I never even relised how much my way of thinking has changed especially towards self preservation and other things.
Has anyone else had some experience similar? Or like unknown health benefits where you never even noticed the change till some time after?

I have began to take care of my physical self more too after some trips I refer to as "dramatic". Physical health seem to plays a big role in having a good trip, they take a toll on the body and you need to be prepared for that and being healthy is the best way it looks like.

I seldom come to this forum, but I'm glad I did today. This caught my eye immediately. Related to my anxiety disorder, I have had issues over the last ~10 years or so forcing food into me without the aid of cannabis. When I transitioned from the military to civilian life, I was a raging 200lb eating machine. I loved, loved, loved food and ate full meals like 5 times a day. The first few years were an alcoholic nightmare, and I ate lots of food sporadically but drank a case of beer or more per day which compensated for any lost calories. Then, for a few years, I just drank from 6AM to 1 or 2AM and ate very randomly. 5years ago I quit drinking cold turkey after my alcoholism went into life threatening overdrive, which I used cannabis to accomplish. I was smoking several times a day, and suddenly eating gargantuan amounts of food. The cannabis use was focused on curbing extreme anxiety and PTSD, but allowed me to have a reliable appetite and actually enjoy food. When I couldn't have my medication, I was a wreck. Food was the last thing I wanted. This past year I've been tapering off cannabis (so I can deal with root causes and actually enjoy it recreationally again instead of in a compulsory role), and was catching holy hell trying to slow down and remember to eat (I run around full throttle all day). Since I have had a few more recent large doses of mushrooms, I have noticed a progressive improvement in both my appetite and my enjoyment of food (as opposed to just choking it down mindlessly)- that decidedly follows said doses. The effect lasts longer now between doses. That's to say, the first time in years I took a large dose, the effect lasted a week or so. The second time, it lasted say a couple weeks. Since my third large dose this year I have been eating far more regularly and have also moved away from my sporadic gorging on junk food. It's been interesting. I was very concerned with my lack of appetite for a good while, but psilocybin has really been a turnkey in the battle to regain normality in that regard. Microdosing is helping too. At first it was awkward and I needed to microdose more frequently to get a positive effect. Lately I've been able to micro once a week or so and enjoy the same benefit as five days a week. Cannabis lasts forever now. Two hits one day when I'm really going through it, and none for a week- and I feel every bit as good as when I smoked all day every day. The issue of appetite has turned into a virtual non issue though, and I was concerned. My wife noted recently that I haven't raised my voice in recent memory (and according to her I'm so calm it actually makes her mad from time to time...), and I am getting way more done instead of being crippled by anxiety and anger. As the root of my lack of want to eat properly/regularly was psychological, it's really been satisfyingly all encompassing. I digress. Just wanted to share. I'm very happy to hear you are experiencing notable, positive effects from your psilocybin experiences. That's fantastic. Wishing you more and more of that as time progresses.

I haven't been eating properly for years, partially due to need to lose excess weight that was gained from eating too good without enough movement due to an office job. I went from a skeleton to a fatass in few years and years later I am at an ok weight for my height but all of it came from diet which wasn't always the most healthy.
Mushrooms have allowed me to really appreciate food, I eat every trip and I thorougly enjoy the entire process and it allows to appreciate food between trips too which makes me eat more healthy as a result. My previous diet has been lacking in a vraiety of things in it which certainly played role in worse bodily effects during trips. Things have improved now so it is a win-win on both ends for me lol.
