First off, a 5 yr old dog is old?!
Didn't catch this before, how's it going?
Use some Dawn and get the fleas away, ya gotta do that before bringing in the stray, or exposing your dog to an unknown dog.
Usually female dogs do not mesh as well together as a male and female would, to correct what was said at top.
Have you brought her in to be scanned? Was the red collar on or is that yours? Have the vet check her teeth, or if you can post a pic up here. And bring in a fecal sample to check for parasites.
Does she take food from your hand? What would happen if you reached and grabbed the food away from her in that photo? I see a skateboard, but are your kids old enough to know how to act around her, compared to your other pup?
I like introducing new dogs by means of a shared, single file walk (alternating who is in front) in neutral territory (like around the neighborhood). Just keep in mind that leashes, even if you aren't holding on to them, can cause tension for a shy dog when meeting another. Also know that however you are feeling, that your dog feels it. So be calm and not anxious, savvy?
Best book I read when studying Behaviorism is called 'The Other End of the Leash,' and is a must read for anyone wanting to up their doggo game.

My wife has posted her on multiple sites. We did see one post that someone attached from their RING app about 2 weeks ago and was 6 miles from here. Our neighbors have also posted pics and details with their info.
No, we have not got it scanned yet. This would involve a leash, placing her into a car, and possibly in public. I would like her to be 100% comfortable with us.
As far as my kids.. she is absolutely in love with them, my wife, and myself. Mainly me. Her obedience is amazing. She is such a great dog.
The flea thing is a new issue, but honestly, that's on me. I should have known or at least checked that first day. We will be taking care of that this weekend.
I'm also going to get her scanned and checked next weekend.
We understand that at any moment the true owners might pop up and we will have no issue giving her back with actual proof. Until then, I will feed her, and bathe her, and squeeze her, and love her.
