Couple questions, monotubs, first grow.

First off, definitely couldn’t have gotten to this point without this community. Thank you all so much. Been a learning curve through this first entire grow. Couple dehydrated tubs that were also fanned which shouldn’t have been.
Out of first grow of five tubs got going I will be harvesting a Mckennaii mini mono in the next week or more. Was curious, how do I harvest side pins and the regular fruits. Have a scalpel that I thought of burning with a lighter first for sterilization then cutting each mushroom that way.
Don’t have a dehydrator so was thinking of heating in oven at lowest temperature.
Next question is have us rehydration, should I dunk the subs that haven’t been cases and heavily mist the subs that have?
Final question, heard Mckennaii is a stronger cube. Took about a week longer than my GT, but from what I understand all cubensis strains are all the same. Anyone have thoughts on that?
Pics of the tubs:

I'll answer the questions I am sure on:
You don't need to sterilize what you harvest the mushrooms with, at all, you can use whatever you want. I have a curved pair of scissors that work well, and electric knife, others use a regular knife etc
You should just get a dehydrator, search the forum to see why. Keep your searches like last 5-10 years at most. There are used dehydrators on craigslist where I am for like $40 and they are not much more new for a good one

Appreciate the feedback!! Thank you. I was thinking of floating the sub to the top and trimming the side pins when I harvest. Thoughts?

Quite a few ppl do it like that. So it probably works. I just wash my hands really good and pick them by pushing them over and twist n pull

I am new, just did my first 6 tubs and I did the float for the 2 tubs I had with full canopies. For my tubs that didn't have as much growth it was just as fast to reach in and harvest. With float yes you can get the side pins

Cubes all have the same potential but each individual grow can be all over the place.
I’ve also found different batches to have slightly different effects.
For side pins just pop them off like normal, usually the sub shrinks enough to get to them no problem.

Perfect. Appreciate the feedback. I’ll be picking up a dehydrator tonight.

I figured as much for potency. Appreciate the feedback, cheers.
When do you harvest the side pins? Will they fully grow and crack their veils?

Yes sidepins also mature and open. They are normal mushrooms, just pressed between the sub and the tub wall.

When you harvest, do you harvest every mushroom/pin on the substrate, then set conditions for second flush, whether it be dunking/misting. Or do you let the extremely small mushrooms stay along with the primordia and hyphal knots?

I only harvest the mature ones. A lot of times the first flush will get harvested over 2-3 days before they’re all done.

Interesting. I’ll give it a couple days then and harvest only the mature ones. I’ll circle back here with an update if there are any pins left after a couple days and get your guys opinions.
