I’ll have to give that a shot. Only time I found them was in a park on wood chips about 20 feet from a patch of cyanescens. I guess I keep hoping I’ll just run into them again lol

The only couple places I’ve found stuntziis consistently has been a couple cemeteries for some reason. One in particular that was the first actives I’ve ever found years before I knew anything else I knew about blue ringers. This cemetery I learned about when I was young by overhearing an uncle speaking about picking stuntziis there YEARS ago. I know at least 2 others who know of this place from a prior generations hunting location which is neat. I would really like to find baeos, somehow I’ve only seen like 1 in my life. I’d also love a lib cap hunt, as I’ve yet to find a lib. I don’t have access to their preferred habitat..

I'm trying not to be too excited, but I believe I just found my first ever cyans. Actually, first ever anything. It was/is a small patch among some grasses, camellias, and of course wood chips. Not far from a pretty big stand of cedars & pines, so I didn't think much of it at first. But some had already dried out and were very dark purpley. The fresh ones also had the most beautiful caramel color and were just starting to get wavy. I'm taking some spoor prints now but I'd love to share and get some thoughts on if I've really honestly found what I think I have. Talk about thanksgiving. Wow what a gift.

Congrats, the first time you find them after putting in hard work is a magical feeling, like you've been let onto a little cosmic secret. You'll probably be buzzing for weeks!

Stumbled upon a cyanescen patch while out scouting for stuntzii and baeos. Looks to be a restoration project that was installed in the last few years at most. Feel like this is my first wild cyan discovery that wasn’t an area spawned by a fellow hunter. Found about 5 scattered out in the huge irrigated area. Was looking for that hidden cluster of matures but wasn’t able to find that today. Nonetheless I’m stoked to have discovered a new spot and will be checking back in a week or two. God is good always!

Prints look good! Happy thanksgiving!!

To keep in the spirit of this thread these were found in a residential neighborhood within King County WA. The patch looks to be mostly through the (first?) flush, though I do see a couple pins coming through at least.
I know there are other hunters here in my neighborhood, but I don't think this patch is being watched by anyone else. To that end I'd like to do my best to help care for the patch and do what I can for it to thrive - even if that's leaving it alone for the most part.
Would anyone be willing to point me to the right board or thread to research maintaining spots, creating slurries to try and propagate to new locations, etc.? I'd certainly appreciate any advice here. Thank you and I wish everyone well!

I found that recently while I was looking around. There's also a huge ongoing woodlover cultivation thread, but I'm too lazy to search and link it lol xD
