Yeah. It’s normal for the azurescens stems especially to get more brown from what I’ve gathered. The more mature and weathered ones aren’t usually the bright white that blues heavy...such as the younger specimens of the species. Those look all prime to me.

that is awesome it looks like a mix of cyans and alleniiQuote:

Every mushroom has blue/purple bruising on the edges of the caps and there were even some I left behind because the brownish stem sketched me out.

all good 👍

NOTmushroom2THINK thank you this is so amazing and invaluable. So straight to the point and exactly what I needed to see. Like you're giving away some well kept secret to finding pellies that I couldn't find anywhere on the internet.
I feel like this stuff belongs somewhere more permanent then just on this thread. So more people can learn from it.
Those lookalikes are what I was calling mycena the other day. I'm not sure if that's the accurate name but they are everywhere. This will forever change the way I look at them.

So you found some spring time actives (they are just all over the place at that time) and used a "rotten" cap to make spore water, sprinkled it on a spot and got a giant patch out of it in the fall .... Wow!
Rookie your fired; stick to eating doughnuts. Go tell your supervisor that your too young and dumb to do this job anymore.

Went to check out one of my grassland cyan spots.
Crazy how all of the woodchip spots immediately get picked until there's nothing left but these spots are left alone
