Dude nobody is saying anything is going extinct. All I did was suggest that pulling pins and ripping out mycelium is not good mushroom "etiquette", and f-ups patches (and it really does I have seen it happen). Then all the pin pullin, myc ripping *#tards started crying about it and mouthing off, so I'm more than happy to call them on their shit. It's not about "owning" a patch, that's for *#tards; it's about preservation, consideration, and common sense which seems to be lacking in some people; and, if your such a veteran mushroom picker I would like to think that you would know better.

are you "Still" crying dude? I didn't say I had a problem with an experienced mycologist gathering a "few" specimens with mycelium for scientific purposes. People like Alan and Joust are fine by me. I said I had a problem with *#tards and thier brown nosers who say and do things like:

Heres the jar of stuntzii I was talking about earlier. I will Write "bcuz of wolfred" on my hand and upload pics of me flushing it down the toilet if I can get atleast two ONE person to tell me to do it

It's these kinds of *#tards who end up wiping out whole patches. All I gotta say is "Will you shut up man?" I'm sure all my American friends will get this reference.
Anyway, to get back on topic; here's the latest news out of Baeo City. Some Halloween Blue Bombers I found:

And in the same field I also found these, which judging from the cap shape and blueing, I suspect could be some Psilocybe cyanofibrillosa:

Seattle Ovoids. It was a pretty expansive patch last season, hopefully the rest are just planning on arriving fashionably late. Will take some better photos once that happens.

I watered these guys last week. Certainly helped but they'll be happy to see some rain soon.

Some more wild cyans from Oly. Someone else found the good spot and cleaned it out but I found some more spots today.

Always fun to see them fruiting from buried sticks.

Spent 3 days on the Oregon Coast getting relentlessly skunked for azzies...but the porcini haul was legendary.

Did find some beautiful cyans as well, they were fairly abundant in certain areas...

Sometimes growing right next to porcini!!

Lovely weekend hunting, but the ultimate bucket list prize remained elusive. Within the dune ecosystem, what characteristics do the ideal micro-habitats for azzies have? Was spending tons of time in the grass with nothing happening....

That's so sick. Getting your bodily and mental nutrition all at once!
As far as I understand, azurescens fruits in pretty much the same habitats as the coastal cyanescens
