Went on a walk, had a blunt, saw a couple fly agarics

Here's a freeze dried one lmao

I don't pick agarics because I don't know how to properly prepare them. But this guy was too beautiful to not take a picture of.

Had a patch that got smothered with oak leaves over the year and looks to have kept it from producing. I gently raked away the excess and might start watering it. Probably wont be pinning this year huh?

You found a 40 square-foot patch??

And why aren't you showing us pics of this phenomenon? Or an epic video even...

edit: stoned and quickly realizing 40 square feet isn't nearly as expansive as I was thinking there for a moment lol

So I was able to find another patch today, however it was a pretty sad scene, as they all looked like this

It's not great when the mushrooms start looking like my 98 yr old grandfather's skin, liver spots and all  : (

I've seen them similar to this before, but not quite this bad tbh. What exactly are the small orangey booger looking bumps btw? That part is not something I'm real familiar with.

These guys sure are thriving, however. Ever wish you had a psilocybe wand?

Yeah my main spot is slowing down a lot, for the last 2 weeks i could go basically every day and there would be tons of new mature ones, but in the last few days, while there are tons of individuals, many have stopped growing/maturing, i swear the stems are getting thicker though

That's interesting, I've definitely noticed that about the stems as well. Wonder what the explanation for it is.

Why did this thread get sidetracked by people complaining? I thought it was active finds only. I searched for 3 years and found a 40sq ft patch this year. I literally walked around like a weirdo for 3 years searching for actives. Probably longer if you count the years observing gallerinas. Let's get back to active finds and not complaining about pin pickers (there has to be better spots than the ones you're limiting yourselves to LOL).

:whatever: If you're going to cry and "complain" about comments against  *#tards pullin pins and ripping shrooms out by the mycelium, why aren't you also crying and "complaining" about all the people talking about cultivation, transplanting, and drying shrooms aswell. The thread is called "PNW Actives" not "PNW Active Finds Only". Who cares if people discuss other aspects of mushroom picking in the "Mushroom Hunting And Identification" forums. I think you need to find something else to cry and "complain" about dude. :laugh2:

Heres a pic of some fat chonkers, found in tall grass in an area that used to be a chip bed. These guys were so deep in the grass i was shocked to see them this big down there. Also many of the stems were long which i had only seen when visiting the oregon dunes. Also in the pic of the gills, why is the cyan in the middle gills so light? Possibly sterile?

Those look like the ones i picked last week. Same thing. Buried in grass so deep you couldnt see them without moving it. Super long straight stems on most but a few looking like curly fries as well.

yeah i had a few curly fry stems, lots of long straight stems, and some of the bigger ones had scrunched up short stems that kept them very low to the ground. Mushrooms sure are smart! They will contort into any shape necesary to thrive in their environment. The grass cyans hold up better during cold dry snaps because of the microclimate they are in but damn they are hard to spot. The one medium sized cyan poking out of the grass sure led to some great treasure!

To wolfred the name caller. I was not talking about anyone specifically. A couple years ago I had several people send me nasty PMs saying all the same stuff. Because I posted this picture. I'm 95% sure one of them was actually you

I do lots of ripping up of the mycelium and pick any babies I feel like:

these are what most shrooms end up like anywaYS

these are out there waiting for the person reading this to get off the internet:

Heres the jar of stuntzii I was talking about earlier. I will  upload pics of me flushing it down the toilet if I can get atleast two ONE person to tell me to do it

You’re bad ass.  You should shit in a jar and flush your mushrooms when you’re tripping.  Makes sense.

The only people disrespecting this thread are the ones who think they are more superior than you because they’ve had an account on shroomery for longer than you lol. In my opinion, the more new people out hunting the better, just another step closer to healing the world... or do you just want to keep them all for yourself? The more people out hunting, the more the mushrooms will want to grow for us! Provide the mushrooms with good vibes, and they will bring the good vibes to you! Or maybe I’m just nuts, who knows?
