Found some pretty hidden cyanescens in a grassy area near a bigger wood chip patch. No one ever checks this spot though since it's pretty hard to spot them

Ba Ba Ba Baeos These were some of the largest specimens I have ever found. The large mature caps were the size of my palm and seem to flatten out more than I normally see in baeos, and ohhh sooo Blue.

also found a few libs in the same field.

Found my first psilocybin mushrooms yesterday. They weren't cyans or azzies but I'll take some gyms. A couple more pins were coming up today as well.

I'm also pretty sure I found some psilocybe pins today. Just hoping they're still there when I go back.

Thank God I found this patch today. It had enough for a village and was so inconspicuous. I will come in the spring fmto plant alder chips. Some of the bluest mushrooms I had ever seen on my way home. Most concentrated environment. Thank you everyone for all the pointers and pics. 2020 go strong. (BTW less people out at parks in SW washington north of ocean shores south of forks.

Went down to southern Washington coast and found these little guys! Is it still a little early in the season to find much azzies?
No luck with cyan's yet this year, finding alot of big patches of amanita muscaria on the coast though!

My personal patch has started producing cyans, as of about 3 weeks ago. I have kept the patch covered with cardboard, then a tarp, keeping moist at all times. Well, one itty spot i left uncovered started to fruit! I knew it was time to release the shrooms!
Album
I had this patch last year and have expanded it a bit, getting lots of primordia, took about 10 days to see any action after uncovering. All the ones in the pics are the early birds, I have about 40-50 pins!

Found more azzies at the coast than I could bring. Some growing straight up from the sand and moss.

I think those are all cyanescens, but they can look pretty similar in the coastal habitat. May I ask what part of the coast you visited? Here's one from today that I found as a pin several days ago:

Everyone start doing the rain dance!!!

That third pic is awesome, seeing the birth of a nice cluster! Nice job man, it's gotta feel great to have a patch living alongside you lol

Hummm, they are complete umbonate, very clear nipple-like cap when young, turning to a more wavy cap after, some still relatively flat even when pretty old. I have never seen cyans growing straight from sand and dune grass before, do you have examples of cyans in this environment?

The first pic is from today, the rest are from last season. Dune grass cyans are awesome! Glad you found a nice little stack. I'm guessing somewhere in WA?
