Those shrooms are gonna be kinda small and waterlogged I bet. Are you bottom watering them? If so, I wouldn't anymore and I would ease up on the misting. Overhydration can cause the caps to open early and cause hollow, short mushrooms
Congrats on the fruits tho

Yeah you can tell by the dark striped stems and the way the caps are growing.
I’ve been saying it a lot lately but one of the biggest things for me was realizing that misting isn’t to water the shrooms. That’s what soaking the cake or hydrating the coir is for. Misting is mostly just to keep a small amount of water evaporating off the surface.

Shipping damage from FP... that shit doesnt matter tho. Looks like theyve changed packaging since. Its foil... not filter damage if u get a rip in your filter... "RTV that shit!"
Ya dude, those cakes are waaay oversaturated. Ambient humidity not saturating moisture... hence the pearlite. I hope u can clone some of those! Looks dank!

Ah shit I think you guys were right.. I was scared of this cake turning out like my last one and being desperate for water, plus I noticed it was absorbing water like a sponge. I was wondering why these mushrooms' veils were breaking when they were super small.. is waterlogging the reason? Because I was stupidly worried about mercury contamination if possible.
Anyways, here's the yield, small but plentiful, some fat. I arrowed a mushroom to show you how short it was yet the veil was breaking.

This is a Malaysian pin clone (normal looking pin). I know Malaysian is known to throw out mutes, but I wasn't expecting this from a clone. It keeps putting out these small blobs. Its also knotting up pretty good, so I hope some actually become normal pins. I have 5 shoeboxes doing the exact thing and only one normal looking pin so far. Maybe I'm just being impatient

First grow and first flush ever! Had to wait about 18 hours after the veil broke to pick them because I didn’t have my dehydrator yet.
