Lost $15 on empire and had $50 in escrow on a shipped order that arrived so the vendor lost that. The $15 was just left over, I find it hard to get the exact amount in after tumbling and what not so I always move a bit more.
Was watching everyone flee to icarus right away and glad I held off.
But definitely do not move to the market until ready to spend or use a walletless market.

What is a dedicated wallet? I have my usb dedicated to my crypto wallet and it's the most secure wallet that I know of. It is always offline and there is no way for anyone to access it unless they literally break into my home and take the usb then plug it into their computer and then they would have to know what those random string of numbers and letters are AND they would have to know exactly what type of coin it is linked to.

But what if I only care about crypto as a means to order something? I can't see the value in a HW wallet for such transient use.

Yeah you're probably right. I first thought of it as hardware because of the physical usb but then it is also software for what's on the usb ig

I don't think you can say you are experienced in crypto until you have lost at least a little bit - Let alone all the 'if only I had..'

Yeah you're right. It is a really slippery slope when it comes to crypto and the media's influence.. I've heard stories of people losing their entire house and family over bitcoin and the hype. I have lost quite a solid hunk of cash due to crypto and me thinking I'll get rich quick. I started when I was 13 using the money I made from my paper route. There was no age restriction back then because of how new it was so I was able to buy hundreds of dollars worth of coin. The first few months were great! I truly was "getting rich quick"! Every day I would see my profits increasing to where I had made a bit over $700 in profit from my $90 deposit. Then it happened. Bitcoin price JUST WENT WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY down out of no where and it never went back up! lost my $90 which was a ton of money for me at the time because I was so young and made it biking every day for two hours putting paper with ink in peoples mail boxes.
If you want to invest in crypto then I strongly recommend researching Ethereum! It will be the king of crypto as mostly all other crypto coins are built using the ethereum infrastructure
