bucket tek - first stir - field capacity?

Did the bucket tek. Opened lid at 60 minutes to give the substrate a stir. While in there, I squeezed some substrate and it was definitely too wet (over field capacity).
What happens over the next 3-4 hours as the substrate cools? Will the coir continue to hydrate and absorb that extra water? Or should I add more vermiculite to get optimal field capacity now (at the 1 hour mark)? Or should I just start over and use less than 16 C boiling water?
Thanks!

depends how wet it is i suppose. people have different definitions of field capacity, anywhere from a little trickle to barely a drop on squeeze. let it cool off then try it again. if its too wet you can add verm

it's more than a little trickle. but it's not crazy crazy wet or anything.
in your experience, does the coir continue to absorb the water after the 1 hour mark? Or should it be at field capacity during the first stir?
If I do need to add verm at the very end...does that increase the risk of contamination...since that verm wasn't subjected to boiling water?

I just squeeze the water out I don't want if it's too wet. Not a big issue

Adding more verm is also fine, I prefer to do that.
