How would you g2g bag to bag? Just cut the master bag (in the corner) and pour in to receiving bags or use a sterilized stainless measuring cup/scoop (i dont think it will be sterile for long after air exposure)?
Is there a "best practice" for this?
Thanks!

I wouldn’t recommend, tried and failed. Jars are a lot easier to transfer From than Bags.

If you search Eric Myer's or Myer's Msuhrooms on Youtube he has some videos detailing the technique. Essentially he cuts a triangle out of the top corner of the sealed bag and pours from there. In some videos he uses a scooper instead.

I like Myers vids but i havent seen those ones. I figured that cutting a corner or using a scoop would work. Thanks for the suggestion, ill check them out.

That's a cool idea I must say

Great. Gonna give this a try.
What is the sweet spot for ratios (ie. amount of spawned grain to sterilized grain? Lets say for standard medium 3.5 quart bags. I would guess about 1/4 cup to each bag? These would take about 4 weeks for 100%? Thanks for the help guys, Im used to using LC and new to g2g.
I have master quart jars and 5lb gen 2 bags if that info is relevant.

Wit my bags I do qt jars to 4qt bags take about 2 weeks to fully colonize sometimes a bit longer.you could easily put one at jar to 4 bags. Iv hear of ppl putting one at to 10 bags

I've done one bag into ten before, it took just as long to colonize as a regular 1:10 G2G. Since I use zip ties instead of sealing I wiped down the entire bag with alcohol then cut the top off with a sterilized scalpel and poured it like that. Lotkid told me that it's possible to expand it much further than that though if you have the time.

I've done it with my ziptied bags a few times
Wipe down with alcohol outside of bag, cut the top right off with a clean scalpel and go to town. It's a bit more awkward than using a jar but I never had any noticeable issues doing it vs. jars long as you stay in front of your flow you should be good.

This is a flowhood procedure. Forget it if your in a sab. 24x24 is really cramped for bag 2 bag. 3'x3' is the minimum filter size I would attempt in front of. Break your parent bag up and seal below the filter patch. Then cut off the excess bag on top to make your colonized bag as compact as possible. Cut the seal only at the gusset to make your spout. Keep the open part of the bag pointed at the hood, try not to let anything come between the hepa and this opening. The rest is basic. Watch it done in this video. Packed with good info.

I was doing bags in front of a 12x24 it was hard lol but a great member of the community pointed me in the direction of a ffu 2x4 he said he can fix 20 at bags infront of it 4qts each.i asked if I should go bigger he said the 2x4 was perfect. I would never try in an airbox
