Spawn Inoculation

I have two bags of Rye grain spawn in the inoculation process. Obtained from Midwest Grow Kits. Inoculated their 3lb bags with Cambodian syringe, the syringes were sitting at room temperature for a few months. One bag looks as colonization has or is underway other bag not too promising. Is Midwest Grow Kits a legit source for spawn bags? Their in closet inside box two different temperature thermometer/ humidity thermometers one Fahrenheit other Celcious . The Fahrenheit is 82.8 Β°F the Celcious is 29.5Β°C. I've watched YouTube videos from other growers one of which I followed what he did for Grain spawn bag inoculation. Midwest Grow Kits I also followed their instructions that say depending on strain may take up to 60 days for 100% colonization. Any suggestions?

Some people have success with premade grow kit bags but most recommend not to use them especially if you're inoculating via spore syringe. Spores aren't guaranteed to be clean and have a high probability of carrying bacteria with them. If you inoculate the bag with a liquid culture you will have far greater success but its still a bit of a crap shoot.
I see a lot of people posting pictures of a grain bag that went bacterial because the bag was already contaminated, they used too much inoculant or most commonly, they used a spore syringe. I would think that (someone correct me if I'm wrong) using a spore syringe to inoculate a bag is a bad idea because it could take the spores anywhere from 3 days to 3 weeks to germinate giving any bacteria or mold ample time to gain a massive head start on the spores.
Its a very smart move to start working with agar because you can germinate the spores, clean up the culture and transfer until you have fast moving growth. From agar you can either drop a wedge into a grain jar or use it to make a liquid culture and inoculate your own bags. It's a lot of work but its much better than spending your money on over priced pre made bags and having them contam.

Also, it's unnecessary to have it so warm, that just gives bacteria that's inevitably in there a better start.

I've never used pre-made spawn. I have used spore syringes direct to grain. I have had great results and terrible results. Use agar
