Blewit or cortinarius **ID REQUEST
    #26934129 - 09/13/20 08:09 PM (3 years, 4 months ago)

Forgot to take a picture of the whole mushroom and am rusty at making I'd requests but...

Found growing out the dirt in the forest
Purple cap
Purple gills
Creamy white stem with a hint of purple
Smells fruity and flowery
Spore print light creamish tan kinda color

I have another that I suspect to be cortinarius but I'm not sure it has a darker spore print and a more typical mushrooms smell might make another post on that later.

I can’t be for certain but I want to say it’s a cort. Generally Blewits are a much lighter purple like a lavender although the color can range. The spore print is also a very pale pink/lavender almost white. If there is any brown colorization on the stem or spores err on the side of caution & toss it.

Ya it's definitely cortinarius I got a denser spore print and is rusty brown. Thanks all.
