Lol. Im positive it was a well fed pet. Wild predators don't let a kill go to waste. That's a rule of survival.  Im not upset about it. I firmly believe we were put here to experience.
That includes painful ones.

I don't say "all for one and one for all"

I say "all is one and one is all

Man now this has revived my dread of my dog dying. For some reason I was super paranoid about it like a month ago and would be convinced she had died in her sleep every other night cuz she wasn’t snortling super loud and have to poke her.

When I was nine we moved to a house that was on the edge of town and surrounded on three sides by mountains. We’d see and hear huge packs of coyotes every evening. Cats didn’t make it long. There was a handful of times I would be in the backyard which had rod iron fencing and some random cat would come jamming up to the fence and fly through it and then two seconds later a coyote would slam into it.

Saw a bobcat and mountain lion too.

Yep that’s real shit for sure. When I got my last puppy I was like β€œok...so I should be like 50 when she dies. I can handle that.”

I got some work cut out for me. I just realized I can put my pictures into folders which is way better than scrolling though 1000 of them.

I confess that the better you get at this hobby the more you put yourself at risk. All your investments are long since paid for but in the back of your mind you're one step away from your life getting really shitty from doing something you love. Wish I could flash forward to a time where this is a normal life practice.

I confess that I haven't been able to get from agar to grain because mold or bacteria starts to show on plates and I'm forced to transfer and wait some more. Nonetheless, I'm having a lot of fun with agar work and it really sucks knowing that I can't tell or show anyone what I'm up to.

I most definitely will but damn it would be nice to be able to show my own family. I don't even trust them to keep their own mouths shut. Even if I wanna trip with them I'm gonna have to come up with a lie on where I got them. The only person that knows is my wife and she has no interest at all. Every time I show her a plate, she just says it's disgusting lol.

I confess, I haven't had much to post lately and it sucks
Got 5 RW tubs due to harvest in a few days, real lack luster flush from iffy spawn
but I do have 6 quarts of blue oyster going to blocks in a day or so. Gonna fruit them outside in the fall weather, really excited for those fruits! Gotta find a good recipe to give them a fair shake this time

I confess... i like to batter and bread my oyster shrooms with spelt flower and seasonings then pan fry in olive oil.

I also confess that liquid smoke is awesome.

I love liquid smoke! You use it on that oyster concoction? Sounds delicious I'm going to start expanding to edibles and medicinals next year for myself and friends and family. So so many benefits. πŸ„
