Bf Tek method question
    #26931971 - 09/12/20 02:55 PM (3 years, 5 months ago)

Hi,

I have made the substrate from a recipe i have found. The necessary vermiculite i have bought are "grade 3" the think is now the rice flower are very tiny it falls under the bigger vermiculite. After i have mixing all together the tiny rice flower are all on the ground. I make 4 bags and it's looks like each bag has diffrent ratios of rice in it. Is that a problem? How can i fix that? Maybe i have bought the wrong grad of vermiculite?

That's how my bags looks each has diffrent

You really don't want to use rice flour in a substrate.  What tek are you following?

Repugnant is a creature who would squander the ability to lift an eye to heaven, conscious of his fleeting time here.

Have some medicinal mushrooms and want to get the most out of them?  Try this double extraction method.

Ok, I was confused as you had it in a large bag, are you just using that to mix in or what?

Pf-tek is for small jars like in your link, so I'm confused as to why you are talking about making bags.

lol Hes doing bf tek. Where your boyfriend does it for you.

Like before man you gotta mix it up first then add water. Just look up and follow an old well known tek and don’t try to change anything.

The recipe was shit the water content are not enough so i started new with more water so the Substrat is nice fluffy with good moisture. I don't think it's a problem with the platlstic bags why? It's a vacuum in it bevore sterilise it.

No, it is not the same at all I'm afraid.

PF-tek was made to work a certain way, with the vermiculite as a layer on top for protection from spores (if I remember, I've never done it).  Not to be used in a bag.  If you want to follow a tek, you should follow it exactly.

Are you going to be sterilizing it in a pressure cooker?

You can't just decide to change a tek any way you want, if you want it to work use the jars and follow it exactly.

What you are doing will not work and is a waste of time.
