Hey gents, can anyone help me out with this, I removed this from a sealed bag a week ago and have had no growth whatsoever, its in my greenhouse at 92%h and sits around 22c for temp but I haven't had any pins at all... i do notice some discoloration on the lower left of the block, but why wont i even get some pins?

Also, can someone tell me why there are two different white spots in my grain on this one? Is that contamination on the left?

Rh should drop to the 60s then go back up. Evaporation is the #1 pinning trigger

Looks good to my noob eyes. The two spots are just where the mycelium chose to spread to. I have slow BRF jars that grew fast and grew slow with a Multi Spore setup. Patience is key even if its got contaminates. Youll never know unless you wait and see.

You're gonna lose a lot of moisture on your blocks there if you strip the bag before there's pins. Much better in my experience to wait until you have pins to strip the bag if that's what you're gonna do.

Thanks for the tip, i wasn't sure so i did a block with the bag and a block without the bag. once I see pins i can strip the bag, or would it be better to keep it on for the first flush then rehydrate for second flush. I see videos where they cut a hole in the bag and that is enough, is this not the case for cubensis?

I understand that, my concern is the difference in color and texture between the two spots, is that something of concern?

Not too sure. What i can say is that the mycelium that grows where you can see in the jar is white whereas the mycelium that grows up into the top of the BRF cakes where the vermiculite layer is turns out to be more of a gray color.
