Casing layer keeps colonizing despite patching and being put into fruiting conditions.

This is my first grow with mazatapec cubensis. I am using monotubs with coir/verm/composted manure as the substrate. I cased these tubs 5 days ago with peat/verm/perlite/gypsum balanced with hydrated lime and put them into fruiting conditions 4 days ago (bright 6500K lighting, ~72 F temp, 2x per day fanning for 5+ minutes and misting when required. I was patching the casing but it still managed to burst through:

Can anyone here have a guess at what may be going on. In my understanding a casing is supposed to provide a microclimate for knotting and primodia formation but in my case, its being eaten. Is this mycelium still vegetative or does it show signs of pre-knotting?
Thank you very much in advanced!

I would lightly mist all that then do another 1/4 inch layer of encasement. Thinnest layer you can bury all the mycellium evenly. I would sterilize a fork and even it all out before misting and patching. Just lightly scrape and spread.

Another thing, I found my monotubs (8 1 inch holes top bottom and numerous smaller holes) covered with micropore tape, is perhaps not permitting enough passive air exchange. I've flipped the lid and removed micropore tape from some of the holes. I'll make sure for the moment that the surface is covered with beads of moisture until I put a final casing layer on them.
I think earlier I underestimated the importance of proper FAE. Past few days I have been rectifying it by increased fanning (2x per day, 5-10 min with a fan blowing over the tubs) but that still doesn't seem to be enough, it seems to be still fully vegetative and eating the casing.

I will prepare enough casing to recase all tubs. When you look at the surface, what do you see? Does it look ok?

I usually wait until primordia forms to lay a casing.
I would just let it ride.
Munchausen said awhile back he finds colonized casing pins better than uncolonized casing...
...fae isnt a pinning trigger. Evaporation is.
Stop putting so much effort into this one tub and get more started. It will produce you just have to give it a chance to do so. Stop fucking with it and let it ride.
With all those holes you have there is no way you don't have enough fae

You are misting too much. Just leave it alone for a week

Thank you very much. Once I watch the process and see how things go, i'll be far more confident. I have experience in human tissue culture so getting everything to this stage was a breeze, but the fruiting process is unknown to me. I have 11 tubs and all look similar. I will take your advice and leave them alone for awhile. I'll re-case them after a week in accordance to this page: http://en.psilosophy.info/late_casing.html
All the help and guidance is always appreciated.
