PF cakes not fruiting!!! Please help!! FIRST TIME GROWER!

This is my first time growing and I’m learning a lot about mycology. The issue I’m having is that my PF cakes aren’t fruiting, they’ve been in my FC for 2 weeks and I got one mushroom from 1 cake and 2 mushrooms from another. After that everything halted and white fuzzy mycelium growth began showing up on the cakes.

I'm not an expert but it seems like you should have some holes in your chamber for fresh air.

I have an air pump running 24/7. Midwest grow kit set up. They said that it’ll send lots of fresh air.

Should have encased it. You would have way so much more better pin set and better flushes

That white fluff is lack of air flow. Those little pumps do nothing. I have a 4 port with one line running through bubbler and its still not enough. Keep rh up but you should crack the lid for a day or two and start fanning at least twice a day for at least 5 mins at a time then mist and lid back on. But leave the lid off till that fuzz is gone

Ok. I’ve cracked the lid to increase FAE, I’ve also started misting and fanning 3+ times a day. So now what???

I dunked the cakes along with a cold shock to try to jump start them. It looks like some pins are forming

You will not have successful fruiting if you keep saturation level humidity inside the FC like you're doing with the fogger, remove all electric components like the lamp and the fogger and open the lid slightly ajar so that you have a few small openings on top and your chances of success will increase drastically. Your cakes have stopped evaporating off moisture because off the constant too high humidity and that's why they're all covered in fuzzy myc. If you go to pick them up I bet they will weigh about the same as when you placed them inside.
Micro climate on the cakes surfaces should look something like this if you want to see lots of pins that develop onto mature fruits.

Air in but where is the air flow out at cake level? That looks like too much humidity and not enough FAE. Pumping air in still means it has to come out. You are fine, if it smells fine then have patience. Take a look on the bottom and see if you spot some pins.
At least it is white and healthy looking. Sometimes too much humidity or more specifically water can bring all kinds of trouble.

Pumping air or water vapor into a tub full of cakes is not 'fine' at all imo. Also Ime 'air' is not something to concern oneself with when fruiting cubes, 'FAE rates' in my book stand for 'controlling evaporation rates off the substrates'. I know from experience that cubes will fruit just fine with lots huge FAE rates and also with minimal. What will be a problem tho is if evaporation rates off the substrates are either too high or too low

Yep. you should be misting your cakes, not pumping fog into the chamber. also, loose the incubator setup under your tub. that is only going to hinder things. if the room it is in is 65-75 degrees it will be fine without all that. and if the temps in the room aren't that high, put a small space heater and heat the room, not the chamber.

You don't need to cold shock cubes. that is for species that require cooler temps to fruit. cubes are a tropical species and don't require that. they like 65-75 degree's for colonization and fruiting

So stop misting, let the water evaporate, and crack the lid?

Hope everything works out!! This is the reason I went the "bulk" route vs the cakes. Just seems like a lot less hassle especially the shoebox tek. I hope you get pins soon!
