As you guys can see, this cake (pics below) has grown bottom shrooms and the top pins seem to be stalled/aborted. The reason the mushrooms look wet is because I just misted them. Anyways, the cake seems to be drying/stressed as there is blue bruising and brown stems. Do you guys recommend I flip this cake and bottom water it using the CBK's bottom watering tek?
Any recommendations guys? Much appreciated

can anyone help? I don't want these to grow too much longer if I am doing a worse-than-par method. Thanks

I did dunk it yes, had to remove it from the SGFC for a bit a few days ago to clean the perlite, that's when it seemed to dry and blue very much.
I added my second cake to a bottom watering lid because those pins weren't growing much, but if you recommend I don't do that on this one I won't.

Also I notice the cake is drying very fast (opposed to the other cake which is fine) probably because of the mushrooms, and it is still turning more blue. I don't know why it's struggling but I'm trying my best.

Can we see a pic of the SGFC and it’s placement in the room. Be sure the perlite is still wet and loose. It will settle over time and become less effective. Be sure the chamber is elevated and the bottom holes are not clogged with perlite. Coarse perlite is the best for a SGFC. I wouldn’t bottom water a cake unless it has a very heavy pinset coming in. Leave the cake as is however it’s best to fill the SGFC with cakes and not pin your hopes on one.
