First microdose

Roughly 6 hours ago I took my first microdose, about 150mg of mushroom that I crushed up and shoved into a 00 sized capsule and downed with some juice and a bite of a sandwich.
I think I felt very minor version of normal mushroom comeup about 30 mins in and it lasted some 15 minutes. I found myself taking some heavy breathes every once in a while but there was no actual uneasyness feeling or anything.
Hours later I felt some minor dryness in my mouth and I was quite thirsty too, this was the only real effect from the whole thing that I was certainly not conjuring up.
It might have been a placebo effect but I did feel a bit more motivated and got some work stuff done too and that felt good. I have been in sort of a slump for a number of days now and it was one of the reasons I took the microdose finally. Maybe power of suggestion, maybe power of mushies, in any case I'm happy I did lol
It also seems it isn't gonna get in the way of my sleep, I am actually getting sleepy and will be attempting sleep very soon, hopefully I will sleep good too.
I will take another dose in some days and will keep on doing this for a while longer. I was afraid of unpleasant bodily effects but whatever I got was so minor that this is not a problem at all, there will definitely be potential for good stuff with this ~

Nice! You've got a fun journey ahead of you. Play with the dose. Be intentional when you take your MD. I find it helpful to pause before eating it to really set out what my intentions are for taking the dose. This has been everything from simply looking for a mood lift, to help with obsessive thoughts. It allows me to revisit my intention during the day and check in with how the MD has helped me.

I'm feeling pretty positive about the whole thing, I'll definitely keep at it ~
There actually was some difficulty falling asleep yesterday so I will have to do this a bit earlier next time but I did sleep good and I had some nice dreams too, one was among my favorite types where I do some James Bond schit and stuff goes wrong and all hell breaks loose hahahaha

Hah! sounds wild! I've found melatonin handy on the occasions I'm having poor sleep might worth looking into if sleep issues persist.

Melatonin does nothing to me, I am one of the rare people with non-24h sleep-wake disorder while having sight (complete inability to get synced to normal 24h clock).
My internal clock is a bit over 25 hours long so I will be shifting forward every day roughly an hour, with day and night swapping roughly every 2 weeks. Sleep medications can induce sleep but there is no level of rest so it essentially feels like I didn't sleep at all and when the internal clock hits "sleep" I will be able to sleep my normal sleep even though meds already made me sleep for say 8 hours but unlike meds sleep I will feel actually rested afterwards. It is sort of really shitty but it is a lifelong condition without cure for the time being...
While it is not possible for me to fix the cycle, I can break it with mushrooms and LSD (and possibly with other psychedelics too) which can help sometimes when I have to shift forward many hours in a short time due to some upcoming social interaction...

Thats mental, never heard of a non 24hour sleep-wake disorder, how do you go about getting that diagnosed, and how long have you had it for?
I had a mate that would stay up all night and sleep during the day, he seemed to be quite well adjusted and happy, guess he didn't see it as anything strange.
I've been microdosing for about a month now, just once a week. So far I think it's best when the dose is below the level of conscious awareness of effects, before you feel the body effects, i.e heaviness/ mellowness.
That's how a microdose should be right? not be aware of any perception changes.
I've found tapping acupunture points quite effective at inducing sleep. Rythmical tapping alternating left and right, and gradually slowing the tempo down. No idea how that works, mybe it tells the body it's safe and there's no tigers outside the cave.

I have had it for about 7 years now, and diagnosis is acquired from a sleep diary and sleep study. I kept a diary for about 2 months and it revealed a fairly consistent pattern where my biological day was on average 25.5 hours long, though it varied between 25...26 hours.
I used to have the quite common delayed-phase sleep disorder, where you simply go to sleep much later than normal but the overall cycle stayed in 24 hours. That I had since early teens and it got progressively worse as I reached my 20s, and close to mid 20s in evolved into what I have now and I'll most probably be stuck with it for life. It sucks as I cannot do any normal jobs etc. and if I fight the cycle I'll get severe health issues pretty quickly, mostly stemming from sleep deprivation.
I will certainly adjust the dose when the next time comes, one is supposed not to feel the dose and I certainly did. I should really homogenise the amount I will use for microdosing purposes since the next mushroom bit from my jar may be weaker or stronger instead even if the amount remains same.

I became really lazy and had forgotten to carry on more with this, 10 mins ago I took the second dose, slightly less this time.
It has now been nearly two weeks since last time and I have been feeling something along the lines of a slump for several days now. I think the effects lasted around a week at most so I think I should take one dose every week at least.

Thänk you ~
The dose went well, the slightly lower amount works still and I didn't feel any of the comeup either.
I'm also experimenting with Arginine for vasodilation purposes, to counter the dilation that a full dose will cause. I hope it will be able to massively reduce physical effects during an actual trip.

Microdosing probably wouldn't help your sleep even if you had a normal circadian rhythm. Do whatever feels right for you first, but usually microdosing is done more frequently than once every two weeks.
Something I discovered by accident is that Lumify anti-redness eye drops can sometimes cause miosis. I'm taking other drops too that cause noticeable anisochoria anyway, so it may be a combination effect as I have not yet used the Lumify by itself nor challenged it against mydriasis. I may never; it's damn expensive stuff.

Where if you're alone, you know, you either come through it or you die, but in any case you avoid the fuss.'" - Terrence McKenna
