If you're going to get on me about my quote not being verbatim, at least make your quote of his verbatim as well. He did say there is nothing morally wrong with it. Same message as my quote.

And I just think it's interesting how many people like that man are in the film industry, including ones involved in childrens' films, sounds like a dude who'd love to be on set for the filming of this movie. And I don't understand why I need to watch it to form an opinion based on the details given by people who did. The message doesn't matter to me, the execution is what I'm talking about.

If that's not good enough for you, oh well, I said it anyway.

He didn't say "what's wrong with sexualizing kids" (though you put it in quotes).  But he did say "As long as no one is victimized, thoughts should be free" and I agree with Enlil 100%.

If you're going to get on me about my quote not being verbatim, at least make your quote of his verbatim as well. He did say there is nothing morally wrong with it.

I didn't misquote him, but here is more of the quote that you want to see:
Quote:

Enlil said:
...there is nothing morally wrong with a person being a pedophile.  As long as no one is victimized, thoughts should be free.

And I agree 100%.  Only put people who actually victimize kids in jail.

You watched a trailer that didn't show anything..I listened to specific scenes described in consistent detail by multiple people who watched it themselves. And I made it clear that context didn't matter to me, the execution does. Not exactly the same wouldn't you say? Would it matter if I did watch the whole movie? Someone already was loading up to say "ha! You watched it so you must be a pedo yourself then." I'm not interested in playing games like that.

High IQ - plain language. There is nothing "weird" about not seeing little girls as sexually enticing. I'm pretty sure thats non-partisan.

Enlil watched the trailer, you allegedly limited your exposure to the film to listening to people describing scenes of the movie and base your opinion on their description thereof.

Thats a very roundabout way to form a strong opinion.

I heard two liberals describe the republican party. Wow, that party sucks.

You watched a trailer  No shit, genius. Maybe listen to the people who have watched it before making a comment, like I at least did. All I heard was "it's way worse than it looks."

You just got through saying "I heard some reviews about this move". Now you're the expert and giving someone else a hard time for commenting after watching a trailer.

So in the hours between those two posts you watched it. Why? I think you have said enough rude things to people here that I can get away with asking, how many times die you jerk off while watching it?

Did you only quote that part of my post so you could try to get away with twisting my words altogether? I'm really getting tired of the games you guys play. You're taking it way too far using the word "enticing." Quote me where I said anything it being "enticing." I don't believe you guys are dumb enough to believe what you're saying, I know you're sneaky enough to pretend to though, because I'm a right winger and you want me to look bad, ok I get it.

But nowhere in any of my posts did I say little girls dancing is inherently sexual. Having little girls dance sexually is obviously sexualizing them, otherwise the point the movie claims to make wouldn't be there in the first place. How can you make a movie that highlights the negatives of sexualizing young girls while getting the girls to do sexual acts? It doesn't matter if the point was to condemn it, it is still being done. That's like making a movie on the evils of animal abuse, while abusing real animals in the movie. So they showed some people who were upset at watching animals being abused? So what, doesn't mean they weren't abused. And I already said that the context doesn't matter. Me seeing it isn't going to change what's happening. Just about everyone else who did see it, feels the same way. Minus the Rotten Tomato critics of course, but they're notorious for almost always having the opposite opinion as the audience.

Edit: fortunately it looks like it may be investigated for violating child exploitation laws. Considering the details I've heard from people who watched it, not surprising at all.

You're taking it way too far using the word "enticing." Quote me where I said anything it being "enticing."

Please read again what I said: I said that Enlil stated he saw noting sexually enticing in little girls dancing. You're too emotionally invested in this and make it all about you, while you insist you only heard fragments of the movie described to you by third parties, yet you have strong enough opinions to attack people over it.

Enlil found it clearly sexually unenticing and you accused him of playing a "weird" game by saying that.

I believe him, its just not something Enlil appears to be into, he's not obsessing over it, he's just stating fact based on what he has seen.

I'm not trying to pin you on having said dancing little girls are enticing. Stop defending yourself, you said you didnt even watch the movie, only heard parts  of it described to you in private.

Maybe you should step back from the mental image of twerking little girls for a moment and reassess where you actually stand on this topic. You allegedly didnt even see them do it yet are so uncharacteristically off-kilter about it that you start accusing people and you mistake statements that do not involve you as personal attacks on your character, as if you were some kind of Jimmy Savile in denial.

You're seeing accusations that aren't there, or at least emotional reasoning has taken over factual reading of what's being said. Did you interpret what was said about the movie correctly or was that interpretation too tainted by your personal bias?

Aba and preach have a video up about the movie. They come from a dance background and at least one of them watched it. Said the movie does just the opposite. These dudes are usually pretty spot on with critiques of anything.

Its still 20 minutes of hearsay, any way you turn it.

Most of us know that there is a worrisome level of sexualisation of young girls going on in beauty pageants etc, how there often is undue pressure to succeed by the parents who want a "winner" and that this pressure in of itself alone would suffice to make it child abuse, and the pageant, child exploitation.

The same applles for the exploitation of little girls for other kinds of adult activity, such as erotic dancing or even, point blank, poledancing for teens courses being offered.

There's pressure from the adult world and when there's pressure from the adult world its not right. Thats not nurturing and protecting, which we should be doing but exposing them prematurely to things they are not ready for.

The movie pretty much is an open and shut case and it intends to be that as it intends to expose whats being done to minors, but when you start exposing, you are propagating.

I'm more reacting in specific to the odd flip-flop defensive-accusatory way Eminence goes about discussing this topic at this point.
