 Much appreciated.

What kind of elevations are you guys at? I'm in NW England but mostly near to sea level and I've seen a few mushrooms but nothing of interest so far.

Mate, I’m in NW too, Lancashire at sea level too and I really don’t know how high I need to go, or actually best conditions for going out. Me and my girlfriend are planning to cycle around Sunday, or going for a walk, but we have no idea of places to go (I don’t have libs back in my country, only cubes)

I have a quick question on dry storage method. After the 48 hour fan dry, I’m putting the mushies in a mason jar with a teabag that’s been emptied and refilled with calcium carbonate (desiccant) taped to the top to remove any extra moisture in the jar. The mushies aren’t ‘cracker’ dry but they sure are dry. Should this method be enough to ensure long term storage?
Happy hunting all.

They should keep for a few months. But I wouldn’t risk it, if they’re not cracker dry there’s residual moisture and they can go off quicker than that. If you don’t have a dehydrator you can stick them in the oven on low with the door cracked open.

i head to the hills/moors i know others have plenty of luck at sea level but thats what works for me
get on google maps, make a plan, bus/train/car and then walk. a lot.

i find a final blast on radiator for couple of hours after air dryin works well then just stick em in airtight jar after. was getting spannered on 2019's season just few weeks ago without any huge noticable difference. still got fair few from 2019 - might keep popping couple gram every few month to see how it goes...
it looks like u done a good job tbh but now mostly dry worth forcing last bit of moisture out if planning long term stores

Got loads today myself 😀. Nice big ones too because of the grass being so long and them trying to grow out through the grass.

Like someone else said on this thread earlier they were out in force today for them and also for me. I’d keep an eye out now on your usual spots if I were you. Got mine at my usual spot. Happy hunting

Yes but the conditions in NI and Scotland have looked great, rest of us have southerly winds coming in with up to high 20s forecast and not much if any rain. The ground by me is dry.
